I thought it was cool that they acknowledged a lot of the classic issues.
I love that Beast was actually a former X-man that had gone off to other stuff, which actually broadens the X-men concept movie-wise, since there could've been other members that came and went.
I kept hoping for the firebird too, but Famke truly was phenomenal. She really blew me away everytime she came onscreen, Jean Grey was made for her.

My hair is about that length, but a bit darker. More like the colour it is in X2.

I meant to say about Psylocke in an earlier post..gah@ my brain
I'm not sure if she can still do it..but after she was gutted by Sabretooth, she was transformed by a mystical elixir called the Crimson Dawn and it was that, that created the red mark on her face. She was able to blend into shadows and appear almost from nowhere. Kinda handy for a ninja lol
But yeah, rambling again here. I was a bit saddened that she got dusted and never got to use her psychic knife as was promised.
:annoyed2:

Totally off topic but where did you find your pics XD

When she first came back and she kissed Scott I was like "He's so toast." But I never really liked him :erm: So I actually didn't cry when he died

I was gutted when it was implied (you never actually see him bite it) he had bought it. He more than likely is, but grrrr he should have been the one to bring Jean back. NOT Logan. Wether you like him or not doesn't matter. He was essential to the story, he was a mere after thought and that upset me. But it seems to have been a problem right back to X1. Team leader and he was constantly getting shoved out of the way to let Wolverine have the spotlight.
*vented*

I thought Cyclops didn't get the closure he deserved either, I've never been too fond of the character in comics or film for multiple reasons that I won't get into (Although I completely agree with Emma Frost in Astonishing X-men 14 so grab that!) Sorry for that, I think he deserved a little more.

Thanks for clearing up that Psylocke bit; I know she has a complicated history in terms of powers, bodies and such and I don't really know a lot about that.

I actually liked the fact that the previous movie gave "some" closure to Wolverine's past and they didn't bring that into this movie (I'm guessing they're saving that for the spinoff)

I kept thinking Leech would be a factor in depowering Magneto or Jean. They could've used him a little, although the Juggernaut scene was cool. OMG, everyone in the theater went insane when he said "Do you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut *wordthatidbefiredformentioning* "

Lol, yeah. I laughed there XD Or when you first "met" him in the movie. "Can you let me out?I need to pee."

That was hilarious, as was Jamie Madrox when he was offered to join the Brotherhood. There was no hesitating, just "Sure, I'm in"

I thought they really paid homage to Storm's character visually in all the battle scenes, specially since everytime a fight started, Storm would get airborne and this time the lighting came from her hands!! Very nice & classy.

See that moment was so important to Magneto's character, although we hate him for it. That scene spoke volumes of Magneto and Mystique, particularly since Mystique proved to be a loyal follower all the way through the 3 films. I love the fact that she ratted them out, THAT's Mystique, a gal you don't double-cross.

The ending was awesome too, the fact that the cure wasn't permanent means everyone'll be okay in my mind. They should spinoff a Mystique revenge storyline:):):)

That's the weird thing with Cyclops. I was never a huge fan of his at all and found him to be a bit too reserved and a bit too stiff. But the way he was treated in the movies was appauling, he deserved better treatment and having Jean fall for Wolverines charms so easy was a kick in the face to there relationship. I really felt for Scott and I understand as much as I was annoyed with how he was taken out of the equation.

The Juggernaut line to Kitty just cracked me up. If anyones seen the animated thing that's been doing the rounds on MySpace and YouTube will know where it came from lol. I liked his line to Pyro as well.
"Keeps my face pretty" lolol

Storm was truly magnificent...finally Halle can prove the doubters wrong. Definetly a big pay off for everything she didn't get to do in the first two movies.

What Magneto did was cold, harsh, cruel and completely and utterly in character. She was a homosapien, and therefor he had no more use for her. Hell hath no fury like a Mutant scorned.I would have liked to have seen more of her though, I love Mystique.

lol Erulastiel. A wee bit excited?
Gah you had a full theatre. The one we were in was not even half full. Maybe 20 people tops. But it was the first showing , so I can understand that. Only 1 other person stayed right till after the credits. Smart guy lol

After Magneto treated Mystique that way, I kept hoping for her to sneak in the last battle and have her shoot Magneto with the cure. That would've been much deserving to her character.

I was actually gonna have my first post be like Erulastiel's. I really wanted to scream it from the roofstops but I calmed down. :):P

Another thing I loved was Beast in action! When he goes in with that roar, that was just awesome!!

Don't get me wrong, I loved this film, although I could do with some changes (as could we all), but you could really feel that there was a different team calling the shots.

When this comes out on DVD they should REALLY have an extended version with deleted scenes, particularly ones with more character development (which are the ones that usually get cut out)

X-Men 3.5..Gah still waiting for 2.5 lol

Mystique taking Magneto out with the cure would have made for an awesome retribution. Although with the cure now being temporary, she may still get her chance, if they do plan on X4.
Which I'm almost certain of will happen one day.

Beast in battle was tremendous. That roar was :swoon: Loved it.

I really enjoyed Ellen Page too. She really brought out the smart, witty Shadowcat of the comic to film. Nice to see the producers of the movie threw the fans a complete red herring with her and Bobby. His temptation was there, but it amounted to nothing. Means Kitty can be saved for her big romance with Colossus in X4 :-D

Okay, I'm a little confused. Can someone clarify a few points for me.

1) Is the cure temporary or what?

2) Did Pyro die? I'll be very mad if he did.

I was kinda upset that the movie wasn't very long. My mom said it was kinda choppy in some places.

Yep, the cure is temporary.

And I suppose he's dead... :erm:
