Just thought of another one, Rabbit Proof Fence. It's about the treatment of the aborigines in Australia, specifically the kids who are half white, half native. It was a really good movie, really sad though.

OMG!!! I was just talking about that in my Soc. Studies class, and then I forgot about it! It was really good, sad though :'( I also liked Ferngully when I was little :) Did y'all know there's a Ferngully2? (at least I'm almost positive there is) I had another movie, but I totally lost it...

Oh one of my favourite movies of ALLLL time is Willow, and it even has short people in it! They're like hobbits, but of course they're not. And it has someone who's sorta like Aragorn, like he's a loner, but really strong and cunning. There's an evil queen who is trying to kill a baby...cuz if the baby grows up it will take her throne. It is an AMAZING movie, really sad though im warning you. It is in movie stores, rent it! If you like LOTR you'll like this. And ferngully was a wonderful movie. :bye2:

Oh yeah, Willow!!!! I loved it... I love it! Who played that Aragorn thing... I remember his name! Something short as the first name... Nevermind.
How about Mansfield park? It takes place in the upper class society in England about the time of Pride and Prejudice... It's a long time since I've watched it, though...

I've seen the Left Behind movies! I really like the Patriot. Has anyone seen the Outsiders? I've heard it's really good. I've read the book it's based on. It was great!

What a brilliant thread. I really wanted to watch ferngully but I never have, sadly...

I've just got a movie called Little Voice with Ewan mcGregor (soooooo cute!!!!!!!) Have you seen it? Or heard of it? I loved it.

by the way, i haven't seen the movies some of you mentioned... But that Simone sounded interesting!

I've seen Little Voice at the theatre. (Which in England means on stage, not the cinema).

It was excellent!

I liked all the movies mentioned so far, would like to recommend a movie called The Spitfire Grill. Read all about it on IMDB http://imdb.com/title/tt0117718/. Not widely available, but definitely worth looking for. - WMW

Anyone seen any good movies that nobody's heard of? I was talking to my friend the other day and it turns out we'd both seen Ferngully but nobody else had ever heard of it ever. And it's really good. So are there any others?

I remember when Ferngully came out.. it was like the biggest thing back then!!

Anyone seen "The Unsaid" with Andy Garcia? It's SOOO sad and sooo good. The movie score is the most beautiful ever!
