Haha, thank you. :D

Well, we didn't go into all that much depth on the Czar, but from what my teacher [and my dad :P] said, he just wasn't a good enoough leader to lead his people through WWl, but I think he was also unkind to his people...as in starving them.

...and the Bolsheviks took over eventually and instilled Communism, which turned out to be worse than having a czar.

I found Once Upon a December lyrics:

Dancing bears,
Painted wings,
Things I almost remember,
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December.

Someone holds me safe and warm.
Horses prance through a silver storm.
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory...

(Instrumental interlude)

Someone holds me safe and warm.
Horses prance through a silver storm.
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory...

Far away, long ago,
Glowing dim as an ember,
Things my heart
Used to know,
Things it yearns to remember...

And a song
Someone sings
Once upon a December

A really pretty song...

I don't know about "wonderful rulers" but they were certainly better than Communism. The thing with Communism is, it works in theory, but not in practice, as has been proven over and over in the past hundred years.

^^ that's true! I learnt all about it with history..

^^The czars were earlier than the communists.. but their rule wasn't really "wonderfull" . Many, many people suffered, but that's what happens in such a large country with such a big popularity

The thing what interests me the most is Rasputin, he is figured in theanimation movie as a villain, but in the history books they are not sure if he was. I think he wanted to help the Czar, he helped to heal their son.. i don't think he was a villain

But I think they just take some of his qualities and well...improvised and worked on them in the movie. =P In real life, Rasputin was the family's doctor, somewhat, but there were people who really belived he possessed powerful...powers. :-P
When, the wife...ack, whats her name...anyways she was really sick. And Mr.Rasputin came and ba-da-bind, ba-da-bang, she's healed!
He was one creeeeepy dude.

Don't believe everything you hear about Nicholas II. :D A lot of it is fabrication.

Rasputin, he's hard to understand unless you know the religious beliefs of the Russian people in which case he makes sense. Not saying he was good, just that he makes sense.

That is sad. :( Starvation isn't fun

I never understood Rasputin, but I guess since I haven't learned about the time period or the religious beliefs of Russians, it's no suprize.

Yeah, he was gross. He was also really scary looking......or is it just me?
