I'd LOVE to see Intensity by Dean Koontz made into a film! Actually any book of his made into a film!

And yeah of course The Hobbit and the Silmarillion

And the Shadow Chronicles by Maria Gripe as well as some of her other books (Agnes Cecilia has already been made though)

I thought it would be cool if The Artemis Fowl series were made into movies. Actually, some books are better off without being made into movies because the movie can ruin the book's reputation. Like if the movie was totally different than the book or whatever. I really liked Ella Enchanted the book, but I thought the movie was so totally diferent.

*agrees that 1984 and Artemis Fowl should be made into movies* Also, Eragon would make a great one! I think I read that AF and Eragon were being thought about for movies.

Ooh, the Prydain Chronicles! I love those books! I would love to see them made into movies! And the Hobbit, of course. lol. There's an awesome author, Ted Dekker. I think they're making a movie of one of his books, Thr3e. They should also make movies of his Circle Trilogy.

On the first place, I think PJ should make a wonderful film of the Hobbit.
but they also should film the books of Robin Hobb, wich I've read this year. They are really beautiful...

It was made into a tv series in America, but I'm not American so I didn't see it.
If no-one has made this by the time I have enough money, then I will.

Heehee, you can be like PJ - you read the book, think that you'd love for it to be made into a movie, no one makes it, so you end up making it! W00t!

My friends and I are thinkning about doing that with some of the books we want to see as movies. One of my friends wants to be a screenwriter, so I asked her to help me with these few books (and she's really considering it!)
The Shannara series by Terry Brooks~when I first read them I was like 'this would make an awesome movie!'
Elaine Cunningham's Songs and Swords series~same as above
and the Acorna series~hilarious but awesome sci-fi!

I definantly want to see Bloody Jack, Curse of the Blue Tattoo, Under the Jolly Roger, and any other sequels in the series made into movies. I love the books, and I think they would make wonderful movies. They would definantly appeal to pirate movie fanatics.

I'd like to see "A Great and Terrible Beauty" made into a movie! I can't think of anyone who would work in the roles, but my mind always goes blank when I ponder casting for future movies...

i agree 1984 should be made a movie. some other books that should be made a movie are: Brave New World, The Odyessy, and maybe Beowulf. Sean Bean made such a good Odyessus, I think he should be given another go.
