Phantom of the Opera What About Bob <This movie is seriously FUNNY. I highly reccomend it for anyone who likes comedies.

Is Dogville really three hours? I dont remember that... wow...
I just watched Blood Diamond. I had seen the trailer and had not been excited about it, but somehow I was convinced to see it anyway as it was a choice between Apocalypto and Blood Diamond....

well, it's 2 hours and 50 minutes long, so close enough. i'd forgotten it was that long too. i think you're the only other person i've ever found that's seen that film. have you seen manderlay (the second instalment) too?

Yes, I've seen Manderlay as well, but it's a long time ago - when it came out in theaters, so I don't remmeber it so well. But I think I might have liked Manderley a little bit better. Dogville was too.. dark... like a look into the darkest parts of the soul... *shudder*
What did you think?

The Patriot. Oddly enough I liked everyone except Mel Gibson's character. Jason Issac was particularly cool.

I suppose you could consider PBS' "Masterpiece Theatre" a film.
SO,
"The Ruby In The Smoke". Yay! I was so happy watching it! It went by rather quickly, but that's alright. I enjoyed it! Oddly enough, besides Billie, there was another person on there that had been in an episode of Doctor Who.

i haven't seen manderlay in a while either, but i think i actually preferred dogville. i'm not sure why, i just seem to remember watching manderlay and thinking it wasn't as good. plus, it weirded me out slightly having a different actress playing grace. i know what you mean about dogville being really dark though.

Yeah, a different actress, true, but I think she did a really good job. Nicole Kidman is beautiful and it sorta made Dogville darker too, because the villagers could hurt someone so pure and pretty, but I didn't mind the change of actresses in Manderley. It took off focus on the actress, because the other one is a less known face! I know Kidman was supposed to have played Grace in all three movies, but I didn't think much of it, because Grace's background and relation with her gangster-daddy plays such a downtoned role.
Owh, all this talk about the trilogy makes me excited about the third movie. Do you know when it's coming out?

^ i have no idea. the only thing i heard about it was that nicole kidman and bryce dallas howard were going to be playing sisters, despite having both played the same part. very peculiar.
