I know, they should at least have a teaser out by now! Or even some official promo shots...but noooo....
I was reading the comments on the Shurtugal article about the trailer being pushed back again, and people suggested that maybe the trailer would debut before the movie itself...

That's so depressing that they pushed it back! Grr! I was looking forward to seeing Superman just to see the Eragon trailer! Oh well, maybe they'll attach the Eragon trailer to PotC II or something, that would be nifty Who knows....

The actress who's playing Arya is Sienna Guillory. You can check her out here: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0347149/

Haha. Good one. Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Good movie. Seriously, if anyone wants to see the actors tho, go on IMDB. *still chuckling about the bunny*

Somehow I'd pictured Saphira being a bit... bigger... and not quite as fluffy... But I'm sure they know what they're doing
[not...]
(Actually, according to Shur'tugal, the reason the trailer's so late is because they're trying to get Saphira just right before they release it.)

I really want them to release the trailer soon... I am dying to see it! and I really want to know how they'll make Saphira.

Killer wabbit! Or...killer-bunny-dragon...
Right, those pictures were amusing I clicked on the first one without the URL really registering in my brain, and then had a good laugh to myself when I figured it out.
I think they should at least have some promo shots released by now Saphira doesn't even have to be in them. The only ones we've had so far are that famous bad-quality newspaper ad thingy (Arya-with-a-bird), and the orange-yellow one on the official movie site. Sheesh...you'd think they'd be able to hire some cheap photographer to take a few stills of the cast in costume...

Nice pictures, tim. You got me all excited, and then I thought Fox was really off their rocker, and then I thought that that was just too insane to be Fox.
...But who knows? Maybe the movie won't be too far from those stills. They're certainly headed in the right direction.

Personally, I'm disappointed with Arya's blonde-ness. She's supposed to have dark hair. I'm also NOT a major Murtagh fan, not since I read Eldest (and even before that, Murtagh was sorta, well: ).
Did anyone read that Ian McKellan was offered the part of Brom? And darling 'Lijah was considered for Eragon? Okay, somebody should write a handbook: How To Make A Book That Is ALREADY An Obvious LotR Takeoff (nothing against it tho ) Into An Even More Obvious Movie. I mean come on. And lots of people wanted Liv Tyler for Arya. People! This may be blatantly similar to LotR (Elessari, anyone? Or Isidar MITHRIM?) but there's no need to make it MORE blatant!

I was disappointed at Arya's being a blonde, too, but wasn't there something about their changing her hair color later during production? Or am I just hearing what I want to hear?
Didn't hear those casting rumors, but man am I glad they didn't go through. Brom isn't...the type of wizard that Gandalf is, and sorry, Ian would just NOT work. Lij would be awful as Eragon (I do love Lijah, but he's so not Eragon...), and Arya is supposed to be way more...tough and warrior-like than Liv Tyler could pull off, I think.
There are similarities in a few of the characters, and some of the names made me snort, but I think the plots are pretty different. Besides, Tolkien never focused on dragons the way Chris P. does.

For some reason, I can really imagine Brom as Jeremy Irons.

I think Brom is perfect, and Eragon is good for the part as well as cuuuute...but I digress. Yeah, Liv Tyler is totally not an Arya, much as I love her. I was a little surprised at the choices for Nasuada and Ajihad but I guess it'll work out okay.
