Well, Kit and Nie have now seen the very last episode. So we don't mind anymore.

Yes, it's over. I buried my head in a pillow and indulged in some "tearbending" if you'll pardon the expression. But I don't know if the rest of you noticed the gorgeous moon. Here it was bright orange and rimmed in clouds, and that made me feel a little better.

I loved the last episode. It was brilliant! Very explosive as well. My friend had told me that she thought Zuko was going to die in that episode, so of course I was freaking out, but it was all good.
Azula was scary in this episode when she was going crazy. I thought that was an awesome way for her to go: when she was chained and started sobbing and spitting fire, I got goosebumps.

Aang in avatar mode kicks butt! I knew that he eventually was going to glow and start kicking the snot out of the fire-lord.

I had seriously hoped for an Air book, or something, but it seems as though its over, officially anyways. The entire ending was awesome, particularly the fighting sequences. The final battles were just something out of this world. Azula gone insane in desperation was just something I was dying to see and obviously the battle with the Fire Lord was veery satisfying.

I seriously thought that there could be a last book to tie up tons of plot points that were never expanded or resolved. Although the ending rocked, some storylines didn't have to end with this finale and would've easily made for good chapters in a final book. I'm just sad that it's over But it was a fun ride, an extraordinary ride nonetheless

Was anyone entirely frustrated when Zuko went to meet his father in prison? There was this great converstaion with Zuko finally asking "Where is my mother?" I was happy! I thought there was going to be more to the movie, but no. There's a scene with Aang and Katara, and THAT'S IT! Nothing else about Zuko's mother. I was a triffle irritated.

All in all the finale was so satisfying but so very not at the same time.

I have hope for the live-action film. Maybe M. Night Shyamalan would help himself to making it Zutara, who knows. I still have hope. I am still a Zutara shipper and no one can stop me, kthnx.

But. Yes. I'm with Eruadan. I was expecting an Air book, but after googling it, there is not one. And that just makes me sad. It just seems like there should be to complete the circle. They could've very well used the Air book to re-establish alignment, calmed a hundred years worth of grudges against the Fire Nation. Establish OMG, MAYBE? THERE ARE OTHER AIRBENDERS? Or there will be airbenders who will learn from Appa. Flying Bison = airbender's equivalent to the blind moles for the earthbenders.

And Zuko's mother. It's so open-ended. It's been one of those behind the background plotlines of the entire show since.... book 2? Early book 2? And they just drop it? Like that? Very, very unsatisfying.

You know, I think I'm the only one I've talked to who really didn't mind the openness of the Ursa plot. There was enough dramatic and portentious closure to Zuko's question that I could appreciate it and be satisfied.

I have an alternative ending by the way, that flashed through my mind when I watched the finale...I think I liked my ending better, but it was a fantastic show nonetheless.
