^ Yes, well I'm a pretty big fan of the classics as well. It's just a bit over-the-top and a tad hammy for my taste. I prefer My Fair Lady.

^GAH! I WANT TO SEE IT SO FREAKING BAD. *Passes out* The "Alien" part sounds good to me.

I also agree about The Day After Tomorrow. The special effects were superb but there was no real story except for the obvious.. and the cheesy ending made me want to puke!

As I said the book it's based on is far better. It does a great job of showing how global the disaster is, and while there are still survivors in New York City, it works.

Ohh, you have a Sunshine banner now...!! Hmm... I guess I should drag myself over to the Sunshine thread to elaborate a little bit... I think the movie deserves it :-)

^Yes. Please do, just mark any spoilers. I'd probably lose it if I found out the ending.

Yeah tim, I bet the book is tons better. I actually didn't even know there was a book before you mentioned it :teehee:

I just watched Bobby. Very touching and inspiring. I really liked it! Anthony Hopkins is always a delight to watch as well :)

Haha, I totally think Jake Gyllenhaal's deliciousness totally made up for all its... short-comings.

Because I Said So
A true chick-flick movie. Diane Keaton is so brilliantly annoying! :P

Just watched Casablanca. Such a legend in cinema history. A true classic! Humphrey is delicious and Ingrid is just pure beauty! :notworthy:

It came close. It really did. I own it (for Jake... Duh), maybe I'll try again. *Shrugs*

My Best Friend's Wedding
Someone save me from my misery.. I happen to watch too many chick flick movies...
The images that will be forever etched into my forehead with ink of flame is Cameron Diaz doing a horrifying karaoke, basically ruining I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself.. Julia Roberts curly curls and huge mouth in every picture and finally the sweetest closing scene ever just when I was about to kill my TV....
