NOOOOOOOOOO.
There is a new TV Spot and Susan and Caspian KISS in it. Yes...KISS.

I was hoping they wouldn't actually form a relationship in the movie. Wasn't in the book. I'm not a purist and some changes don't bother me. But this is out there.

You know... this is verging on spookiness....
When Kit posted the pics for her PC contest and I took a closer look at them, I found Susan's picture to be almost on the verge of predatory, and it did cross my mind that she looked... how shall I put it?.. erm... well inviting, shall we say, any young males to try their luck and I did wonder briefly, if she and Caspian.. *ahem* ... yes, well look at the pic and see for yourself. Frankly, that look scares me and I'm Ok for changes in book as well... but if Aragorn and Eowyn had kissed people would be up in arms, so I reckon it's Ok for us to be the same way.

Wow.... that is a bit... disturbing. I got to agree, some changes are ok... but that is a bit much.
They always think they need to add romance to a movie when all I have been looking for in the past years is a good movie WITHOUT romance!
That's one of the reasons I liked the first Narnia movie so well.... *sighs*

As someone on YouTube said, why is it with films these days that contain members of either sex, that they feel the need to include references to romance and things like that. Especially when young adults are concerned.

If they don't do all the books I don't see how they can do The Last Battle. Aren't all the characters in that one? Like PuddleGlum and such....No one would know who he is if they didn't do SC. But he is in The Last Battle isn't he? It's been awhile since I've read all the books, but I'm sure all the characters from all 7 books show up in The Last Battle. They would either have to do all the books or leave some characters out. Which isn't a good idea.

Hmm, well if that's the case that all the characters appear in the Last Battle... and it would be ridiculous not to make the Last Battle when that is the conclusion to the story, it seems just as silly not to make them all.
I mean, it's like not making ROTK or AWE.

If Disney would just film the movies back to back like LOTR and the Pirates sequels, getting them all made wouldn't be that big of a problem.

Quote: Melda, do you know who they cast as Eustace?
You know, I'm thinking I may be wrong about Eustace being cast already. I thought I'd seen it on one of my NarniaWeb newsletters, but as I can't find the newsletter, I don't know. From what I glean off a couple random Google searches, they're either in the final stages of casting, or Zac Efron is slated to play Eustace. As that particular report was posted on NarniaWeb April 1st, you can very likely take it with more than a few grains of salt, but I personally thought it quite funny. But yeah. The only thing I read is that they've narrowed it down to about ten actors, and VotDT is supposed to begin filming in Mexico November 2008.
Also according to NarniaWeb (and I consider them fairly reliable) there are plans to do The Silver Chair once they've finished VotDT, and then tentatively The Magician's Nephew, then The Horse and His Boy, and finally LB. Which I think if probably due to the excellent point that all the characters appear in LB so it doesn't make sense to do it right after VotDT.
Anyway, that's been my sleuthing for today

Eustace seems like he'd be a difficult character to act, from what I hear and how many times I've read the book. He starts out as an absolute jerk, but you actually like him by the end, meaning that the actor has to pull that off believably. Should be intriguing.

Well Highmore is a good actor, so I'd be happy to see him play anyone in Narnia.
