Just wondering. :D I think that tends to make a difference in people's reactions--which one they saw first. I was reared on the BBC/A&E, so that might have some impact on my reaction to the new one.

I love this movie. I saw it but a few days ago, it does the book justice. Mr.Darcy is just perfect. The quotation in my sig is just my favourite!

I saw P&P a few weeks ago, and strangely the theater that I viewed it from showed the British version which didn't have the end where Darcy smothers Eliza with kisses and goes "Mrs. Darcy".

Right now I'm reading the book. :D

Well that was me being off topic.

[huggles Rumil] It's been too long!

N. Abby? Is that a Jane Austen book as well?

I just saw the film over the past weekend. I liked it over-all. Two things I did like were the colours and the lighting. Very deep and ruddy. It's very very different from the BBC version, which I still think I prefer. I'm not so sure. The newer one is more visually appealling (though I still love Colin Firth) as far as the set goes, while the older one is truer to the book. I can't decide! Can I just say I like both versions and the book all at once?

I got the soundtrack for my mom for Mother's day. I think she was really wanting it, so I'm excited to give it to her (plus that means I get to listen to it as well)!

Actually, I believe Northanger Abbey was one of the first books Jane wrote, but one of the last published. She either published it late in her life or it was published after her death, I can't quite remember.
