^ or at least, the end would have been a surprise if some idiot hadn't told me about the twist before i got chance to watch it. grrr!
last night i watched cat on a hot tin roof. i love paul newman - wonderful actor and totally gorgeous; and i thought judith anderson was great - took me half the film to realise she was the same woman who creeps the heck out of me as mrs danvers in rebecca.

Love Actually
I've been wanting to see it for a long time, and I really liked it. It's got some great people in it. Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley. It was quite good.

@ethelfleda: I know! Or "This show brought to you be sand, its everywhere, get used to it!" And John Rhys-Davies does a voice, so thats awesome.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone
They were so LITTLE! Oh my gosh... I hadn't realised how much they've grown. And I'd look away briefly, talking to my mom, and their voices sounded all the same, so I'd ask why Hermione was saying that when really it was Harry or Ron!

Ghostbusters (pretty funny, but very stupid) and 13 Going On 30 (Ugh... I saw this when it first came out and I hated it, and watching it again didn't make it any better lol)

that was the bit i was originally going to quote, but i didn't know if it was just me and my sister that found it so funny. it is a great line, or at least the way robin williams delivers it is great.
a streetcar named desire. worth skipping lunch and feeling ill at work for. vivien leigh was wonderfully unhinged, and just about manged to avoid pushing it too far (though she did come close). you could tell from her performance that she was being coached by laurence olivier (her then husband), which i thought was interesting. and marlon brando...*swoon*. seriously though, apart from his lazy diction, he was awesome.

Flushed Away.
Best cartoon I’ve seen since Robots. It was so randomly awesome! I loved all the cultural humor.
