Once again I'm starting to feel lucky that I live in the US... :innocent: it's coming out here in only a week. :bounce:

Fae, it's nice to see you around the forum again too. :bye2: :) it's been some time, hasn't it?
anyway, if you want me to tell you how the movie went, I will... but I won't be giving out any big spoilers, mind you. Even if I LOVE spoilers I know a lot of people don't.

Hmm... end of the film might be good actually... it could be a goodbye kiss and perhaps a sign of gratitude and maybe a little bit of affection.

^I'm really, really hoping that's the case. And it very well could be. then that wouldn't be too bad at all... and you said you always look at the worst that could happen in movies, JF!

I still have to believe that the writers of PC will handle it with more class.

Yes, these months I've move to live in Spain. So I didn't have time for 'myself' to say.
You can write the spoilers in white, you know like this I don't mind.
After all, I was spoilered by accident the end of AWE and of Deathly Hallows,so...

Randomly, does anyone else think the costumes look GORGEOUS for this one? Susan's dress in that particular picture is really pretty. I did think the whole dress-and-chain-mail thing was a little weird, but overall stuff looks fabulous.

Hmm, don't know. I'll admit that there Susan looks pretty(just like a Disney princess),and Caspian, looks, err, well in that outfit. Indeed they have lovely costumes.

Ohmygosh... I think the costumes are gorgeous. Susan's especially.

About this whole Suspian thing, I'm kinda not worrying about that right now. I mean, I'm not pleased it's in there because it wasn't in the book, but... well, they do kind of look cute together. And maybe this (as well as Susan wearing eye make-up ) is a foreshadowing of her fall from Narnia later. Whatever! I'm excited! 1 week! :D

Waa. I got two months to wait.
I was searching other forums that they talked about this film and the 99% of the users say that this film will go downhill. Not only because of the romance, there are other problems.

Sigh, I guess all we have to do now is wait

(I'm pretty much annoyed that almost every movie has high rating. It's like movie-people think that a film is ''cool'' if it has a high rating. And I'm very piss that all the fantasy films we love to see have high ratings. Why can't there be a movie with low ratings, nothing R or PG-13/18 ?)

I'm so excited for this movie, regardless of the Suspian thing. I don't think it's THAT big of a deal, and people are not even giving the movie one chance.

I was hoping they wouldn't actually form a relationship in the movie. Wasn't in the book. I'm not a purist and some changes don't bother me. But this is out there.

*is sulking* I am going to throw popcorn at the screen when that happens. I don’t care if they throw me out, it’s toward the end anyway. :teehee:

And what’s this about a Zac Efron Eustace?! That’s not even a joke, that’s cruelty. It made me cry on the inside.

No, I wasn’t desperately trying to catch up on the last two weeks’ worth of posts. :P

Despite my complaining of *shudder* Caspian/Susan junk...I really, really can't wait for this movie. :D I'm going on Friday night with a bunch of my friends, one of which hasn't read any of the books yet but I am going to MAKE her. :P

There are spoilers everywhere, in each page, and really I'm terrified of this film. Well I've said it before:
I don't now what Disney will do with his films, if they don't respect Lewis' work at all...-And I care less how this movie will end.As long as they all die burned in the stake... :bones:
In another forum they said that the movie, it's more like a fanfic, than the actual book.
-No...Please kill me. It can't be!
Let's see, there's an image where I see Caspian, with Jadis. He looks enchanted by her, then Susan comes and it seems that she attackes the witch. It's very familiar:
Enchanted Prince by beautiful sorceress, maiden that frees him with her love...

DISNEY!!!! YOU'RE BEING REPETITIVE!!!! :argue:

Okay, here's the deal with spoilers: absolutely everything must be taken with a pinch of salt. And the bigger the hype is for the movies, the bigger that pinch of salt needs to be. I know this from personal experience with DMC and AWE. See, the thing is, with spoilers (especially second-hand spoilers) the line between fact and speculation becomes blurred to the point of almost not existing. A friend of mine who's working on the set might say to me, "Oh yeah, they're altering a few things a bit to make it work better on the screen." But then I might go to one of my friends and be like, "So I heard they're changing some things from the original book. I really hope they stay true to Lewis." And then that friend could go tell the whole online community that Disney's messing up the film and not sticking to the books at all. A bit of an exaggeration, but you get my point. It's even possible that that first friend didn't exactly agree with a change and started the rumor himself.

With DMC, we didn't know for sure in what capacity Barbossa would be in the film until just over a week before it came out - but we knew that he'd be in it about 6 months earlier. Guesses abounded, from him teaming up with Davy Jones to Jack meeting him in the Locker to him randomly showing up at the end and killing Jack himself. We never anticipated that he'd be on the good side.

Point being, it's all really speculation (with the exception of pictures and trailer clips) until the moment it plays out on the screen. Yeah, okay, Susan and Caspian kiss. It's not like we've seen them passionately making love or something. Just a peck that could mean anything in the world.

Don't judge a book by its cover, and don't judge a movie by its spoilers. ;)

As long as they adapt well The Magician's Nephew and The Horse and his Boy, I'm happy.

Fae, alright... as long as you don't mind. ;) and I shall give a little warning too for anyone who doesn't want to read spoilers. wow, I wish someone had told me the end of AWE! That might've saved a lot of shock and trouble. lol

Melda, yes! The costumes do look amazing for this movie! :swoon: actually I think Lucy's dress is one of my favorites. I like the red velvet-like material. :)

TT, that very well could be... I never thought of that but actually it would be a perfect foreshadow of her fall from Narnia! :duh: whee! I know! And I think my mom's gonna take me Friday to see it! :bounce:

anyway, I don't think this movie is going to be so bad... and I think it will probably be one of the biggest of the year. :)

btw, has anyone else seen the Big Movie Premiere: Prince Caspian on TVGuide Channel? I didn't get to watch all of it, but what I did see was cool! And I got to see even more scenes and get even more info on the movie. Which just furthers my thoughts that it will be fantastic. they also talked about all the up-and-coming merchandise for PC so apparently it's just late getting to the shelves. *shrugs* Either way yay for PC! :bounce:

It could be cool if in the beggining, before the film, they shown the trailer of Wall-E or Bolt. If anyone sees it, tell me about it, kay?

Much discussion has been happening... I am grateful for the fact that they MADE a movie. I shouldn't be complaining, but I can really help it :teehee: I hope that the other movies will be truer to the books though.

Costumes are amazing - its a given. I mean they are recycling the LotR crew, are they not?

Agreed with Cally - Im in Canada and SO grateful :P Im so impatient, so i would die. Someone was going to ruin the Deathly hallows for me, but luckily I had already read it. But I was dying to know the end of everything...

This is the time where we are close to the film, but we don't have exciting news.Instead we keep posting and reposting.I hate this state because it wastes time.

Here I have a few facts of the film,I borrowed them from a spanish forum:
1)The film begins with something that we never thought that could be used as an intro
2) The battle between Peter and Miraz is about 15 minutes long.
3)The kiss of Suspian is real.
4) Both Edmund and Susan fight for Narnia more professional here in PC than in LWW.
5)Aslan doesn't appear a lot in this film, he is a secondary character
6) The most important part of the film are the special effects.

Is anyone else here terrified about these facts? I am.
Aslan secondary character? Never.
I'm very scared about the intro. What will they do?
And I don't care a thing about the special effects.
More fighting of Edmund and Susan? I knew it, don't like it but not surprised.
The kiss... well, I kinda ended liking the couple,so...
I don't think that the battle between Peter and Miraz is that long.

Well I have been thinking a good storyline for the romance would be this:
When Susan first meets Caspian, him and her have a lot of fights, like Peter. They don't go along well. But later in the night-raid in the castle, they are fighting, and someone almost hits Susan, but Caspian attacks him from behind and he carries Susan in his horse. They keep fighting, and Caspian gets wounded. Luckly Susan kills the dude who attacked Caspian(movie-Susan). After the battle, they go somewhere safe to hide. There Susan heals Caspian's wounds(with the help of Lucy and her cordial) and she thanks him for saving her life.He is also thankful of her because she also saved him, but he doesn't say it. After that, they go with their army and prepare for battle. In that time, Susan and Caspian don't fight that much like before, and they begin to like eachother, but as friends. That's where the bow scene occurs. Then near the end, thier friendship has evolved into love, and one of them says it out loud. Then of course happens the famous kiss, while the other Pevensie clap and cheer for them. And then they say goodbye.

Me and my imagination... :-D

The kiss doesn't look like a big deal, just kind of a farewell kiss, etc, as others have said. In that clip she rushed in to kiss him too fast for it to really be romantic.
