Disney and Lewis must be turning in their graves.
Toby, KILL THEM ALL!
I just can't accept the fact that PC is almost nothing like the book...and of course the Mouse company has to put their hand on everything, claiming it's their property.
You know that the rumour about cancelling the Chronicles was because of merchandising, the only thing the Company knows about.Because they don't say ''no'' to sequels like Cars 2, National Treasure 3, Enchanted 2, Pirates 4.
And why? Because for them the franchise of pirates, princesses,Pixar, HSM and such really sells! That's why!!
Narnia is something waay better as a franchise. But all the inventions and personality changes in this film will make it look like HP( and I like Harry Potter!)
You have to know that for a time Princess and Frog was made for the black community have a princess(good thing) but other thing was for enlarge the Princess merchandising line( terrible thing), but now it's for being back to 2D. It looks like Bear and the Bow are in the same path about the ''adding princess just for money''.

*ish envious of all people who get to see it on opening day* I guess I'm not too, too bad... I'll see it on Monday. Actually, compared to the people who live outside of North America, I'm rather lucky.
Anyhoo, I've been spending much time on youtube looking at various PC clips... Exciting!
What's this about Disney messing up? They did a good job on LWW, did they not? I think we should wait and see it before judging. So, all you people who are seeing in opening day better give us a review or else.
Ooh, and another thing... There was an article about PC in our newspaper the other day. It was talking about the director's dificulty in having the actors be older. And it was titled "Managing Mature Moppets".

I don't think Disney or Adamson has messed up at all. And on that note, neither has Hary Gregson-Williams, the score composer. Have you gotten the soundtrack yet? It just released today adn I bought it on iTunes....
it sounds AMAZING!!!!

I'm glad! Well, I'm kind of disappointed that Adamson won't be directing VotDT, but I guess we'll have to trust this new director... and he will be executive producer, or something... So I suppose it will be the same position as The Hobbit.
Anyhow, back to PC.
The soundtrack? Sounds cool!

I think Michael Apted will do great on VOTDT. He did great on Amazing Grace; so I have faith in him.
the soundtrack is better than the first IMO. Although, it has some of the same music, like the WW's theme and some of the battle music, as well as some from the Stone Table scene and the Pevensies "theme"....I guess it's to remind us that this is a "return" to narnia.

Ooh, SG, I saw that when I was in Dallas for a field trip to the JFK museum last week. I was just a bit ecstatic as well.
I'm actually excited about the tension between Peter and Caspian, too. I mean, I know it's not explicitly stated in the book, but if you have two teenage guys trying to command an army, one who ruled Narnia for years and one who is trying to establish his own rule, you're bound to get some tension. It'll make things more interesting, and it's not like Caspian kills Peter or anything.

For today I pass. When the film will come, it'll come. And I'll be there with a stick in my hands, judging it.
But for today, I don't want to create controversy,I'm just piss(NOT ONLY WITH THIS FILM).
If you don't share my opinion then don't reply to me.In another forum I watch there is a huuuge serious discussion.Soo...what to say.

I completely agree with that. And, Caspian was protecting his "servants" against Peter in teh clip where they fight hand-to-hand. Peter was defending himself, and I think Peter may have a slight attitude problem.
If you think the film is going to be SO horrible, then just don't go see it and stop griping, sheesh. I'm giving the film a chance. Everybody should.
and as I've said, if you do'nt like it, then i guess you can wait to make it yourself. but it probably wouldn't be very popular.
has anybody else listened to\bought teh soundtrack? if so what are your thoughts?

PetraKenobi, did he? I've never even heard of the guy! That movie apparently got good reviews, so I guess it might work out. *shrugs*
The soundtrack sounds really good. I love movie themes.
FaeEowynTonks, I'm sorry if I cause any unhappiness or anything. I didn't mean to, you know. If you think Disney's messing up, that's compeltly fine with me. I don't mind you judging it now, but I'm not going to.
And, lastly, I do agree with potr here. The Peter and Caspian tension does make sense. And they had some tension with him and Edmund in VotDT, right? So, it should be fine. lol, I hope he doesn't kill Peter. Btw, what was said at that scene? I don't have a very good ear... What were they arguing about?

Don't worry. I'm not mad at you.I respect your opinion, and you're one of the best here in AU
I was stating my opinion openly, so everyone could know. And I will see this film. It's business with some friends. And there I would say the diferences between the 2 films and the book.
And yes, that's my opinion at Disney. Because for them, dark stories can't be well handled. They are famous because they made fairytales more popular, and so. Light stories is better for them. Remember Hunchback of Notre Dame, one of my favourite films and book, and almost forgotten, because, well,Disney can't do justice dark things. And if they want Narnia dark,,to each their own.
I have this love-hate relationship with Disney,so these reactions are pretty normal. One thing you will never see me do is support a Disney sequel. But I'm helping and supporting The Princess and the Frog. You can know more about that film in Future Disney films Thread here in AU

From what I gathered, they were arguing about a battle that hadn't gone well because Caspian hadn't followed Peter's plan/orders, and Caspian resented that they'd fought in the first place because he didn't think it was a good idea. I'm glad they don't instantly get along well. Adds interest.

yes, he did. For a film based on a hymn that was directed by an agnostic, I was blown away. I think he'll do awesome on Voyage.
did anybody see the Liam Neeson\Aslan clip from REgis and Kelly? I missed teh show *grrr!* but saw the clip on Youtube...that scene is a tearjerker, and he's so HUGE!!!!

Wow, what’s been happening? this thread has been FLYING! Lol
Anyway, there are actually several new elements added to the script (including the tension between Caspian and Peter) that I've read more about and I’m actually beginning to look forward to seeing how they pulled off all these little add-ins. It actually sounds like they've added all these things but still kept true to the story and what C. S. Lewis would’ve written. So this actually might help en-richen the story.
Star, that huge poster/billboard is AMAZING! I want to travel down to Dallas and take it back home with me right now.
Fae, lol, don't worry about it... I agree completely because I have probably roughly the same love-hate feelings for Disney.
btw, did you say you would like to see what Reep looks like? Anyway, here's a pic of him:

so cute!
