I knew instantly that when they were talking about perjury, I just KNEW. KNEW there was a voice recording somewhere. I just had this inkling feeling that there's just no way their conversation could be so secret.
And whattya know? TOM COMES TO SAVE THE DAY.
I <3 Tom so much. And omg, the Karen/Bill love. [squee] I can't believe I hated Karen so much last season.
Well, she was going against Jack so I think I can be excused.
Has there ever been in the history of 24 where the VP is good ? Seriously? Come on. Evil VP is so overdone in GENERAL stereotype. But it's all good.
VP Daniels: "I'm starting to wonder if you're on my side."
Tom: "I have always been, from the beginning, on the side of the United States of America, and if you ever thought otherwise, you are very mistaken."

HUZZAH for Tom LOVE!
I honestly wasn't expecting the voice recording thing. Although, when Tom heroically waltzed in, I knew SOMETHING was up.
And that quote of his, OH my goodness. Best in the episode. Brilliant!
And Karen...ohhh Karen.
Yeah, I agree with you about not exactly liking her last season. THOUGH, by the end, she was pretty awesome.

I hope we see Tom in the next seasons because I don't think I can stand not seeing his awesomeness.

Tom is awesome. I didn't really like him in the beginning (I don't think any one did) but now that he's proven himself to be a very good man, I don't want to see him go.
Does anyone know what terrorist organization Feyed is with? I just learned about Islam and the radical terrorist groups so I'm really intrigued. My friend and I speculated that the most probably organization would be Al Qaeda, though it rather ironic (because America helped them defeat the soviets)

^Not quite sure. It's really not implied on any organization since he was working for Gridinko who is Russian of course.

^Yeah...You'll notice...when it comes to well, terrorist organizations in general on this show, they don't really go into specifics...and for good reason. But also for good reason, they really try and not make any implications of WHICH middle eastern country is being represented. It could be bad for buisness...and bad for us. You know what I'm saying?
I agree with wanting Tom to stick around. Buuut...the guy who plays him was on Numb3rs....and he "left" to go to space for 6 months....soooo....not sure. Maybe he could do both next season? I hope so!

Okay...TOTALLY double-posting...XD
Soooooooooooo.............
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh.........
Interesting episode.
TOTALLY loved what Palmer did. And Tom is hot.
And the ending was a bit brutal...even for 24. But the MUSIC. The MUSIC was beautiful...soo, I KNEW something was up. That's the kind of music they play at the end of a season.
Buuuut...I wasn't really expecting THAT ending.
I mean...once he had the phone and no one said anything...I KNEW...but I still wasn't expecting that.
After EVERYTHING we said.
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh.....
Interesting episode to say the least.

Silent clock? What's that?
That was a good episode. You know you're morbid when you joke about somthing like "Well, Feyed won't be getting much action anymore. That is, unless there's a strong breeze" Oh, I love my dad.
Was anyone else laughing when Jack was under the truck? My whole family (minus my ten year old sister) was giggling. It was really absurd! He was just hanging under the truck "Hey CTU, I'm under a truck." What?!
And the ending...to quote Dave Barry: "Our worst fears have been realized. Audrey AND the Dreaded Chinese Subplot."
Have I shown you Dave Barry's blog? He has a live blog for every 24 episode. (Well, almost every episode.) He's halarious

^The Silent Clock comes on when a major character has died in the episode, it represents a moment of silence for that character's death. At the end of each regular episode, there's the clock that ticks :58 - :59 - :00, the same clock comes on when there's a Silent Clock but you don't hear the ticking.
I didn't like how in the preview for this episode, it shows Jack being shot, like it's really major and important and then when it happens, they were faking. I hate how cheap that was.
I wanted Audrey dead. This is pathetic.
All I got from the preview for the next episode was....
Jack: "I need permission to go kill myself on this suicide mission."
Wayne Palmer: "No."
Jack: "Pshaw. I'm going anyways. Suckers."
Wayne Palmer: "Like, dude. You suck --- I want your resignation."
VP Daniels: "Like, no. 'Cuz if you die. I rock your world."
Wayne Palmer: "I'm the president. Gimme your resignation, NOW! Because this is a formality, and I'll pay 1.5 million dollars for your immediate resignation."
VP Daniels: "Okay."

You summed that up nicely, Kit. Had I know you would have done so, I wouldn't have prayed to the Tivo god that next weeks preview was recorded

I almost died laughing when I clicked on "something much worse than total worldwide nuclear devastation" and got
Dave Barry is a genius. I wish they still put his stuff in our newspaper.

I know! I was like, on top of the truck? Or on the back? But noooo, almighty Jack has to go UNDERNEATH. I was scared to death he was going to fall off and get run over. But it did prove my theory - wherever Jack is, nothing bad can happen, because they won't kill Jack
And as my mom keeps saying - he got back from China THIS MORNING. And already he's killed a major terrorist and saved half the US from being blown up by suitcase nukes. That's talent for you

^Or just FOX's writers' unrealistic writing.
What got to me was the fact that he's up on his feet, kicking Fayed's butt after breaking his ribs. I... don't think so. You can be smart, you can be very physical but you cannot, cannot, cannot deny the fact that you can't go out and hang underneath trucks WITH BROKEN RIBS.
