Guys she doesn't have feathers! Okay look closely:

They may look like feathers but they're scales I asure you. The film makers probably wanted something different so she wouldn't look like Draco from Dragonheart.(Thank God!) _________________

hey, Draco was awesome. And if they follwoed the pictures of Saphira on the cover of the book, everything would be all right. And if they let me design her wings, she would be fine(sorry, a bit of self pride going on here).

One thing that we should be thankful for is that they tried to refrain from making like another Lord of the Rings movie. I would have freaked out if they started adding demonic spikes and a giant tower with spikes on Galbatroix's castle. Also the Urgals look nothing like Orcs. Still the filmmakers could just stuck with the traditional batlike wings on dragons.

I didn't even notice the feathers... maybe I'm just unobservant. But then again, I know I'm not unobservant, considering the things I notice about LotR all the time...

OK I guess I'm the only positive one here. How 'bout this I like the way she has the feathers because most of things of the air have feathers it makes her look more bird like.

Well, saphirra not supposed to have scales, is she? I remember reading in the book that her wings were a membrane.

no, if your wing membrane had scales, she wouldnt ever be able to fly, but her wing arm and wing fingers do have scales...maybe
