i liked it. well ive only seen the first one. its very philosophical. thats why i like it: it makes you think and its not all stuff blowing up and machine guns... its a type of movie that is getting rarer and rarer these days, where its praised for the actual script and not the cgi effects... but the cgi was pretty cool. its kind of like lord of the rings, now i think about it...

I love the first matrix. Really interesting ideas combiened with cool fighting sequences. I thought the 2nd one was a bit too confusing though and the 3rd one was OK but they lost most of the philosophy that made the 1st one great.

Save yourself the misery of seeing the 2nd and 3rd. Don't ruin it for yourself. I loved the first-- it was original, and just overall amazing, but the other two were just lame. Trinity will always be awesome though.
