I just read something on XMF. Apparently...now take this with a HUGE grain of salt.
Apparently, there were more end credit scenes filmed. One with Mystique, one with Xavier (which we saw), One with Cyclops. Depending on which cut you seen, would depend on what end credit scene you saw.
There's been nothing to confirm this however. It is just a rumour.

Leech the mutant that was the base for the cure, is basically a Power Dampener. Which means any mutant he comes into contact loses there powers when they're around him.
A cure was established through researching his DNA and testing and testing it till they thought they had a permanent cure for genetic mutations.
Leech's DNA was not properly mapped and tested so the cure seems now not to be as permanent as was originally thought.
