Ho hum. I would like to say Wall-e but no. It was actually an old, old, OLD but original Disney movie called Gay Puree. I watched it when I was like 2 years old, and still love it. Music = <333

Yeah, Jurassic Park again. It was on TNT this afternoon, and on ABC tonight.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
It's not really the best film out there, and I think in some ways it gets way more credit than it deserves, but it's still a good enough film I suppose. The main bug bears for me are the way Peter and Susan argue for over half of the film about being in Narnia (seriously I was waiting for them to start grabbing each others hair and shoving each other... hopefully over a cliff) and yet BOOM they meet Aslan, hardly knowing who or what he is (the head "geezer" in the words of the awful Mr. Beaver don't really sum it up) speak to him for 10 seconds, and then the next minute they're happy to die for Narnia. WTH? As my brother said (and he hasn't read the book for years so he doesn't remember how they should have acted), he wasn't even sure that they would for each other, let alone a strange land which 5 minutes before they didn't even want to be there. In LOTR, pretty much after the Council of Elrond (and even before) you just knew everyone would have died for the cause. It was very unbelievable in this film. The story certainly suffered in that area in particular.
And the Beavers are the most annoying creatures on the planet. Americans never seem to have a problem with things being voiced by British people for some reason, as long as they are some sort of British accent, but they completely ruined the Beavers with a combination of the Cockney accent and terrible script.
And I was SO glad to find out that WETA had nothing to do with the CGI effects in this film, or I would have found a cave somewhere and cried. It never ceases to amaze me the astounding CGI in the films and yet they can't make lions, foxes, beavers, reindeer, polar bear etc etc etc look right. I had hoped with it being on a smaller screen and DVD they might have touched it up, but no, just as bad as I remembered.
And sorry whoever did the prosthetics, leave it to WETA in future. They didn't look as believable as in LOTR or indeed other films were excellent prosthetics and make-up are combined. The only creatures that were AMAZING were the minotaurs. They were absolutely fantastic, and that seems to be because it was more of a body suit than prosthetics and CGI. I really want a minotaur.

Yeha, I was going to say JF-sies... they did pretty much the same stuff as they did for LotR, which of course owns everything you can throw at it. I'm pretty sure the crew for WETA were'nt as passionate about CoN as they were LotR. Of course, I'm biased.
Ironically, I just finished watching all of the extras from the EE of FotR, it made me happy. Viggo is such a sweetie *squees* And the music/sound parts are always my favorite.
