That's the first thing that popped into my mind. Looks exactly like that one scene in Episode 4!

Think me to be crazy, but I'm quite sure that this will happen in volume 3.

^ That would be awful if that happened...aaaaahhh...I think that would provoke a few too many SW/Eragon comparisons Surely Chris P. is smart enough not to go quite that far with drawing from other people's material...
Aaaah I do like Eragon, to be sure, I just see a lot of similarities between it and other stories in the same genre.

But doesn't Eragon already know Morzan is his father? I mean, logistically? Cause if Murtagh is his brother and Murtagh is Morzan's son...? I haven't read Eldest in a while, correct me if I'm wrong...

But what if the Morzan thing turned out to be a big lie and both Murtagh and Eragon were Galbatorix' sons?

After absent-mindedly clicking on this topic and glancing at the post at the top of this page, I have gone into shock.
<---That's me, right there. I may be behind the rest of humanity in the fact I haven't finished Eldest yet The film looks awesome...I love the bad guys, but Durza looks...slightly...not as I'd expected him to *is refraining from using the phrase 'hot in a bad way'*

Oops, guess we should maybe put a spoiler warning on this thread. Hehe.
Um, yeah *tries not to think about it* Durza is NOT hot, Mel. Uh-uh.
I don't know, I'm liking it better than I have previously. I'm still mad that Arya's blonde (or brunette or redhead or WHATEVER she is), but I like Eragon and Murtagh, and Brom is good. I'm kinda disappointed in Nasuada, and Ajihad to a degree, but they don't come into the story a whole lot. So yeah - forty-two days!

I was at Barnes and Nobles (my future home) today and saw a book that was about the making of Eragon. I saw Angela in the book; she looked all right..No sign of Soleburm though. The book was a bit vague about that dragon thing that Durza rides. They say it's his steed...I have no idea where they pulled that from. And the Varden looks like African tribal warriors. I really don't get it. Just because Aijihad is black, that doesn't mean they all have to look like Haradrim. By the way, the actor who is playinga Durza played a Bond villian.

I know him from The Full Monty, a really funny film. I have rather amusing mental images of Durza drawling away in a broad Scottish accent

Bad news, guys. I think someone might've mentioned seeing the book on the making of the Eragon movie. I was in Borders today and skimmed it. *shakes head*
It does look like it'll be an entertaining movie. But in this guide they detailed several changes that really make it less like the book and more like a whole new story. For instance- no Orik. *sigh*
They also explained a bit of the weird costuming. Apparently they didn't want it to look Medieval or historical in any way. They wanted to keep the antiquity, but make it "modern." You should see the ridiculous getup some of the townspeople are in. >.<
