The Eiger Sanction

I only enjoyed the last 30 minutes when Clint actually was climbing the Eiger :P

The first 30 minutes of Silverado. My dad has such an obsession with this movie, it's strange. He had to go do something else, though, so the rest of my family commandeered the tv and watched The Grapes of Wrath.

@ Elenya - Ooh, I saw Silverado for the first time about a month ago. I really liked it. Kevin Costner was cute.

The Music Man

Words cannot describe how much I love Robert Preston. The man is a genius. I CANNOT believe he was not even nominated for an Oscar. And yet everyone raves about Rex Harrison reprising his stage role for My Fair Lady, as did Robert Preston for The Music Man. But who get's all the glory and awards? Rex Harrison. And Robert Presten was so much better in his role as well.

*shakes fist at whoever*

Aww, how do you like it??? I just finished the book and I'm dying to see the movie... not because I found the book a particularly great and deep read, but still entertaining. And I love to see movie adaptations! :P

I like it, too - it's a fun movie. When my dad chooses it for movie night every three or four months, though, it can get a little old. :teehee: Yes, Keven Costner is cute. He's my favorite character.

Last watched To Kill A Mockingbird. I almost wish I hadn't read the book first, because they had to take out so much for the movie. I still really liked it, though. The kids are great.

Robert Preston was SOO incredible in that role. He just had so much energy! I could see him spellbinding an entire town. There's just so much dynamism there. Have you seen the new version? I can't even believe they decided to remake it, let alone have none of that energy. :duh:

And actually, the last movie I watched too was The Music Man.

@ Elenya - LOL! Poor you. He was my favourite character as well. I've never seen him play such a goofball. :teehee:

@ Nurr - He was spellbinding. I loved the scene with him and Marian on her porch and you saw him from her point of view, and everything was blurry. I can fully understand how she succumbed to his charms. I have never seen such energy before. And the lyrics for the most part were so complicated. He is an amazing talent, and I am so, so grateful that he was given the chance to reprise his role, as the real Harold Hill would have been lost forever. No, I haven't seen that.... there are clips of it on YouTube... I am tempted. :hide:

Oooh, great minds think alike! :D

Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade - part of it. ;) Awesome. :P

High School Musical 3 - bits and pieces of it. :erm: My sister seemingly adores watching it... :erm:

Seven Brides For Seven Brothers - I have said it before, and I'll say it again, the Barn Dance is the most amazing dance sequence I have ever seen in a musical. Yeah, so Gene Kelly's dream sequences (which when he does them in every film it gets... *yawn*) are nice to look at, they don't compare to the athleticism and vitality of the Barn Dance.

And Frank is my favourite. I want Frank. :P He's such a nark and always ready to protect others. And boy, can he dance. :swoon:
