Lol, yeah. I suppose I should be worried I don't have anything else to do but we've been talking about Hugh in leather so what more could anyone ask for!
The Magneto film is a really good idea. I think there are quite a few X-men characters who could easily have a film made about them, but Magneto is one of the best subjects. I always loved the opening scene in X-men when you first see him and his powers. I wish they'd done that with more characters.

I do prefer Magnetos comic origin. But the one that was used in the movie was just as powerful and emotional.
In the original script you seen Storm and Cyclops' origin stories, but they never had the time or the money to film them.

So his orogin in the films is different from the comics? I also believe he had children and that he tried to save his daughter from a house fire yet people wouldn't let him? And that's another reason that turned him against humans?
It would have been interesting to see under what circumstances Cyclops' powers came to be. I mean did he just walk round with his eyes shut or could he originally control it?
As you can probably tell my cartoon watching days were over a long time ago!

Magneto's powers didn't manifest till he was an adult and married. His daughter was trapped in there house, but the people in his town refused to help he got mad, killed them his wife left him. She was pregnant at the time with his twin sibs Wanda and Pietro (Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver).
Cyclops' powers manifested originally he could control them as far as I remember. He lost control after being thrown out of a plane (with a parachute on) by his parents after they were attacked by Shi'Ar aliens. He hit his head on a rock after a bad landing and it knocked out the control part of his brain. So he lost total control.

That's way different to the film! I still like the concentration camp scene though. I suppose bringing in family would only have complicated the films.
That's got to be the weirdest way to lose control. Being thrown out of a plane?! I orignally read it so it sounded like his parents had done it on purpose without a parachute...then I read it properly.

lol on purpose but he had a parachute. So did his little brother.
I love both the movie and the comic origin of Magneto, both were very powerful and handled with real sensitivity.

I don't think the Magneto story will go that far back. Plus it being already covered in X1, there's no real need for them to film it again. But it being a property of Fox, I'm sure they could easily use the footage from X1 if they needed too.

I'm not sure yet. He wants to do it, and is willing to do it. But they'll need to use the CG technique they used on him and Patrick Stewart for the beginning of X3. If they use a younger actor, he'll likely be asked to narrate. I'm pretty sure he'll be involved somehow.

Personally I can't see him not being in it and perhaps to save CGI costs they could have it so Magneto, the age he is now is telling the story to someone else and as you said have him narrating it. I thought he was brilliant as Magneto. I also thought Patrick Stewart was very good as Zavier.

As far as I know, they don't even have a script for it yet. So anything can happen.

Yes, and even if there was a script in progress, they may not be revealing anything too soon.

More than likely not.
Still, there's more than enough Marvel movies out soon enough for us to go gaga over.
Spider-Man 3, Ghost Rider & Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer.
Then the Wolvie one the year after.

Yup..it's currently being filmed right now.
Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer. I'm well excited one of my all time fave Marvel villains will be in it, Galactus.
