That's a tough movie to get through.

Indeed, I could stand the first half hour and the last 10 minutes, the rest of the movie I enjoyed in the foyer trying to keep my dinner down!

Watching Sin City... (distracting myself with A-U in order to make my supper stay down! :-))

I am SO sorry you had to blind yourself by looking at that THING called Robert Pattinson. You poor, poor dear. *huggeth*

Sorry to anyone that actually likes those books. I could rant forever about how much I hate it, but I'll just scurry off now and pretend I was never here. :bye:

Words cannot describe how much I loathe what Stephenie Meyers has done. She's completely butchered the Vampire Mythology and Folklore. Those things in her books (and the movie) are NOT Vampires.

And thank you for feeling my pain!

Part of some lame movie in social, I wasn't paying attention. Really, how interesting can you make something that involves a CONGRESS. Like really.

Marley & Me - oh my goodness! I have NEVER cried that hard during a movie. Ever. normally I will tear up but not have tears streaming down my cheeks. It was excellent. By all means. But the ending... gee. It was beautiful and yet heartbreaking in every sense of the word. I was crying for probably the last 15 minutes or so. But maybe it wouldn't be so sad or relatable for someone who's never loved and lost a dog. Since that happened to me not even 2 years ago it's all really fresh in my mind. And they hit the emotions and everything dead on. I'm happy I watched it and yet... I cried more then I thought I would. I just remembered watching our dog grow old and slowly wear down and everything the way Marley did so yeah. It was a really sweet movie though.

The Lion King - :swoon: Wow... back in the day Disney was actually pretty darn good itself. :teehee: Awesome movie... (was actually thinking of Darky throughout it... :P)

I refuse to go see Marley & Me. Or even read the book. We've lost 4 dogs in the past 4 years and one of our current ones is starting to get rather old. We think he's probably got about 2 years left in him at the most. Plus I have a completely insane Labrador as it is so why do I need to waste money going to the cinema when I've got a free show at home?

Marley & Me

*SPOILERS. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE MOVIE!*

There probably isn't any other movie I've cried so hard at [aside from Titanic. It was so beautiful, and so saddening... my mom and I were bawling our eyes out and my dog was just staring at us as if we were freaks. It's so hard to lose a dog like that... a very similar experience happened to me when we lost our border collie.. we had to put him down and it was one of the most difficult things ever. I couldn't even hear what Owen was saying to Marley while they injected him because I was flipping out. :'-(

Great movie nevertheless... they got the emotions down perfectly, and I'd see it again were it not for the ending.

^I totally ditto what you just said. It is a beautiful movie and yet... my gosh! The end just about breaks your heart, right? And, like you, it's something I can relate to... which makes it, like, 10x more heartbreaking. Gosh. :'(
