I think it started playing when they weren't talking, although I do get what you're saying.
Oh well. It's a good song regardless of where it's placed.

Oo, yeah, the song didn't sit well with me either. It was so... random. I mean, it's a lovely song, but it really took away from the moment for me.
I found it quite interesting that although Caspian and Peter should be about 14 or so in PC they look as though they're 19 or 20-ish.

^as TT and I were talking about in the Susan FanClub I think the movies and the books are each suppose have different ages for the characters. it just seems like for the movies they WANTED the characters to be older than they were suppose to be. So I guess you have to look at it like that. Add about 4 or 5 years to each characters rael book age.
Pada, I guess you do have a point.

Ok, that was random. Anyway, back to regularly scheduled PC-talk.
^ random, but funny!
JF, ditto. ah, well, then I’m ok with that. I was just thinking that you were talking about the song itself. but if you’re only talking about the placement… well, then that’s a matter of opinion. I dunno, I’m gonna side with Eary though… I thought it was placed perfectly. It made the scene more powerful to me, I guess. it was actually the reason why I had a hard time not crying at the end of PC. eh, but I do see what you’re saying. But whatever, as long as we can all agree it was a cool song that’s all that matters.

I actually did not like the song the first time I saw the movie. I was kind of like - random pop music in Narnia? But after actually getting all of the words, I think it fits the end pretty well, what with Peter and Susan leaving Narnia for good. Though I'm still not sure I like it placed there, perhaps during the credits would've been better.

Don't worry Pada, I liked the song to, even though it may have taken away the feeling at the scene a bit, but it's a great song nonetheless.

I saw Prince Caspian for the first time a few days ago. I really enjoyed it and thought it was a great film (as a film). But it's still not Narnia. The BBC Series will forever be the only acceptable visual interpretation of Narnia for me.
The CGI creatures were much better in Prince Caspian than in LWW so that was a plus at least.
The casting choice for Doctor Cornelius was so wrong. So not how I want him to look like. Maybe I'm mistaken, but shouldn't he also be a wee bit shorter, being a half-dwarf? He was only a few centimeters shorter than the humans.
Was that Peter Dinklage's (Trumpkin) normal voice? It sounded way too dark for someone of such wee height. Perhaps it's his own voice but it looked weird nonetheless.
Why, oh why, does Hollywood always feel the need to "spice things up" (aka ruin a perfectly good plot) with a little unnecessary romance?

Honestly, if you *really* want to be scared, go read Narnia fanfic sometime. *shudder* It's just really sick what some people consider a good pairing.
And I actually like that song at the end, even though it was random. The one I don't like much is "Dance 'Round the Memory Tree"...the guy's voice doesn't sit right with me for some reason.

Oh I know, Suspian is running rampant at FF.net. Somebody is writing a story where grown up Susan is married to the nerdy boy that makes a pass at her in PC, in opposition to the Suspian overload.
And then there's all the incest fanfics that drive me up a wall. Even slash is better than the incest. That corrupts the story more than Lucy/Caspian, etc.

Are you serious??? That's great. I must go find it...
Edit: Found it! I love it. I ship "Phyllis".
That's what I meant. It's just nasty. And I'm not a big fan of Lucy/Tumnus either...

Yeah, Lucy/Tumnus is weird. I mean, a friendship is fine, but a relationship... kinda freaks me out. I saw a fic where Susan was married to Oreius. I think Pevensies + Narnias is not a good ship. Stick with people.

Oh my gosh....this is too funny...
Ha!
I agree with you all though. Narnian Fanfic is twisted. Plain and Simple.
