Volver - great movie, I'm not a fan as such of Almodóvar, although I usually do enjoy his movies.
I do adore Penélope Cruz though!

Night At The Museum 2: The Battle of the Smithsonian - Sadly it wasn't as good as I remembered it being... still good but... not. but Amy Adams was great!

We get another channel that occasionally plays Dressed to Kill, The Woman in Green, and Terror By Night, but none of the others, so those are the only ones I've seen. I totally agree. Basil Rathbone was and is wonderful but Jeremy Brett was great on so many levels that he is the ultimate Holmes.
Just watched Sherlock Holmes' Fatal Hour (1931). This one starred Arthur Wontner, who I heard was a very good Holmes. He was the spitting-image of the Sidney Paget illustrations, but he spoke with such a morose voice that he reminded me of an old professor who's lectures inevitably lull you asleep. Ah, that is a shame. I have seen them so many times over the years, I took it for granted that they were widely available. The Scarlet Claw is a really good one, very atmospheric. The Pearl Of Death scared me as a kid, and I never saw it again for years. The supporting actors are usually hammy, and Watson is not how Watson should be, but for their interpretation of Holmes and Watson, you cant beat Basil and Nigel. It also helps if you are charmed as an 8 year old by the leading man....
^ I have not seen that one, I'm not even sure if I have heard of the guy. Lol, poor you.
High Society - can't beat a bit of Frank Sinatra.
Aw, that makes me sad, because the TiVo malfunctioned and didn't record The Scarlet Claw. (Or Sherlock Holmes Faces Death and The Spider Woman, for that matter!) I just watched The Pearl of Death. I can definitely see how the back-breaking serial killer would scare a little kid. Yes, poor Watson is still sweeping up and rebuilding his reputation. I can't deny that Nigel makes me laugh, though. And I believe that always helps, no matter how old you are.
Well, the poor sound quality probably didn't help at all.

Enchanted.
@Calloniel: I didn't like Night at the Museum 2. We saw it in IMAX a week after it opened, and I was REALLY disappointed with it. It looked better than the first, but I like the first so much better; it wasn't as funny as the first.

Well, my most recently watched movie would be transformers 2, I normally go to sleep with x-men origins playing on my tv set so I guess that one doesn't really count.

Sherlock Holmes - That movie is amazing! I enjoyed it so much and I'm going to see it again soon Watson = awesomeness
Australia - Another great movie! Though the plot might be somewhat predictable I loved the story anyway. And the soundtrack is wonderful

District 9 - ummm, okay then. It was... strange. Though it started off really strange... then it just became normal strange. And bloody. I dunno... I wasn't a fan.

Aw, no. That's a real bummer. Maybe you should see if you could buy them cheap somewhere? Oh, yes I think it was his appearance that frightened me most really. XD Oh, yes. Nigel Bruce's Watson is a real dear, and he is just as loyal to Holmes as the more compotent Watson in the books. He has a lot of the qualities of the book Watson, which compensate for the things that are different.
I agree. Basil Rathbone was so handsome back then. And an expert fencer as well. Die Moriarty!

Because. Your politcs are so much more better than ours. Actually, I have 3 documentaries I need to watch, but the first is the one I'm really looking forward to as it follows his campaign and it has behind the scenes footage of The White House - major West Wing comparison going on here - and stuff like that. His Press Secretary ain't no CJ though.
I agree - although it seems to happen to all the men I like. I hate them all because I just know when I'm their age I'll look like hell. Men are evil like that, BUT at least in my old decrepit age, I'll have some yummy eye candy. XD
And yeah, no one could ever compare to CJ. EPIC.
