[font=Arial, sans-serif] Okay, I went and saw it, and I'd have to say I agree. This movie was spectacular.
You can really tell PJ took the movie in his hands and made it his own. The Cannibals, the heroic fight scene with Kong, the emotion. Not to mention it was a long little sucker. =P! A+ indeed.

I finally got to see it!
King-Kong was amazing, one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Naomi Watts did a spectacular job, but I think the best actor in the movie was Kong himself [even though he's completely CGI]. He had so much depth to him I believed he was real through the entire movie. The story was moving, and the writing was wonderful. PJ did a wonderful job!

The only problem I had with it was the length. I mean, it was 3 hours or so long. I guess thats what I should have expected coming from PJ.

That movie was so awesome...

<_<
I cried more in that then I did in The Passion.

I didn't cry much, but I did cry a bit. ^_^

I was bawling like a baby by the end. It's just so sad. I think that they did a beautiful job on it. Jack Black, Naomi Watts, and Adrien Brody did fantastic. And of course, Andy Serkis. Can't forget him.
A+++ ^_^

I loved King Kong. I cried and I've only cried during two movies. EVER. RotK and now King Kong. I am so angry that it was only nominated for 4 oscars. It deserved more than that.

I quite agree Arwens! With such a big project and they should know PJ's background of wanting to remake the film since forever --- it deserves more!

4.99999/5 The length sort of took the .00001 off. I loved Capt. Englethorn...."Seen enough?" I love that quote. Everything in the movie was great. I loved it!

I just pre-ordered a 2-Disc Numbered Limited Edition of King Kong on DVD. Only 10,000 copies for Scandinavia! I can't find it on Amazon.com so I don't know if it'll be released elsewhere in the world. Here's what I pre-ordered:

http://www.discshop.se/shop/ds_produkt. ... vies&&ref=

It says in red above the large picture:
Quote:
Limited and numbered version of an exclusive box made out of velvet. 10,000 copies for the Nordic countries. Inside the box is the regular 2-disc edition

Expected (but not yet confirmed) release April 13th. Wheee I'm so excited to get this now :)

(And just for the record; 239:- is like $31, €26 or £18 in case you were wondering about the price of the thing lol)
