OMMAWORD. On one hand I'm ridiculously overjoyed and excited to see that trailer (Edmund! Peter! Reepicheep! Edmund! Caspian! Lucy! Susan! Ramandu's daughter! Did I mention Edmund? ) and on the other hand I'm completely befuddled as to what in the world they've done to this book.

I was rather hoping they'd return to the style of LWW in terms of faithfulness.

Is this due out in December?

From what I've been seeing (and I pretty much read any news I can get my hands on ) they're still pretty faithful to the book. They embellished on the reason for the voyage in the first place (something to do with seven swords as well) and made the Dark Island more important (something about the darkness in Narnia and some more "wholistic" evil) but for the most part they're sticking to what they should be. Jadis, as far as anyone can make out, is probably appearing in Ed's nightmare at the Dark Island. Which makes sense, as it seems light on the boat during that but they have the lamps lit. So since they lit the lamps when they went into the dark, and then this stuff happened...

OH MY HAPPY MOMENT!!! That is amazing! I just hope it's better then Prince Caspian. I was not very pleased with it. It looks amazing though. Love the teaser. And it's gonna be in 3D!!!!! Hopefully I can see it at IMAX. I soo can't wait!!!

With Susan and Peter, I feel like they'd come to the scene where Aslan tell Lucy and Edmund that they cannot return to Narnia -- and it'd be one great send-off for them to be on their real journey which is growing up in their own world.

And it'd be a nice closing to the Pevensie Era.

Ahhh...Nurr, you have given me hope. I bow to your awesomeness. Where do you get all this info? I was checking the official site pretty religiously up until a couple of months ago, when I slacked off.

Also, Kit, I adore that idea! To have them all come back and then go out together would give lovely closure. And it's nice that they'd address the idea that it's now 'officially' time for them to live in their own world. Plus we get to see Peter and Susan again, which is always good.

I totally missed the Monopods! How could I have missed them?! Man, those things are hilarious.
