For me, its the way he looks at people. He just constantly has a look in his eye that says "i could so kill you right now, and you wouldn't even know what hit you". Even sometimes when he looks at Caroline he still has that deadly look in his eye. Thats freaky. But oh gosh he is so good at being bad! Thats why I dont want him to die, he's too good. I wouldnt mind it if he left for a while and the storyline went somewhere else for a bit, but have Klaus return at some point in the future to cause more trouble, because he's just fantastic.

To celebrate the start of the new season of the Vampire Diaries, I thought I'd revive this thread
So, thoughts on the first and second episodes? Any surprises, unexpected events, not so unexpected events?

Watched the first one, havent seen episode two yet. I'm frustrated with the Damon/Elena relationship but then again it frees Damon up to be bad. Because if he got together with Elena it would change him even more than just being in love with her has. I cant wait to see how she handles being a vampire as the show goes on though.

I actually feel the same about the Damon/Elena relationship! I feel bad for Damon because Elena chose Stephan over him again, especially after the whole good-Stephan/bad-Stephan character twist. On the other hand, Damon is not his usual sarcastic, arrogant, selfish *beep* when he's with Elena, so for the character development I'd rather not see them together.
But, as the second episode continues, she's turning to Damon again for help because Stephan's approach to getting blood is not working for her...

The start was quite good. Since a few months had passed since the last episode it took me a while to recall all the events from the previous seasons, but I was back on track in no time which is always a good sign I actually haven't gotten beyond episode 2 yet so I don't know much about the other episodes but from what I've seen I'd say they're pretty much continuing on the same track as in the previous season.

Yes it is! Even more so now Elena has changed, sometimes it seems like she's starting to prefer Damon over Stefan.. I sometimes wonder what Jeremy must think of his sister hanging out with these two gorgeous guys and not making up her mind over which one she should pick

Anyway, I'd also like to swap places with her, even if just for a bit. Although I might not be so noble and immediately pick Damon over Stephen Stephen still remains a bit of a softie, and not in a good way.
