Schindler`s List is a movie that hits me....tells about the jewish being haunted and putten into the ghettoes from where schindler takes to work on his factory, sometimes you might think his after money, but in the end... the movie just strikes me... It`s so sad with it`s violin and black & white picture, Liam Neelson and all the others make an impressive work... Or at least I think so... I had to bring this movie up, so...any toughts...?

We had to watch it in our history class. Everyone was really upset when we just caught the glimpse of red in the pile of people going to be burnt.
Everything about that film was beautifully done. It makes me cry

I love Schindler's List! Such a heartbreaking, tragic, awful, awesome story. I love how you can see the colors of the little girl's red coat juxtaposed the black & white element in the film

One of the few films to make me cry.
Love it to bits, such a great performance by Liam Neilson (think it's his best role).
One of my fav films ever.

Very very good movie! One of my favorites. I remember when i was little and i wasn't allowed to watch it yet, i saw just a little clip of it where they get off the train at Auschwitz (sp?) and there is all the ash in the air. ANYWAYS when i was little I thought it was snowing and it made me sick when i first actually watched the movie and found out it was human ash...It was beautifully, directed, scripted, acted, and the music John Williams wrote for it is amazing, also.

It is a good, beautiful, movie, a favorite of mine. Another good movie is Life Is Beautiful, a much more light-hearted story about the lengths a father goes to to save his family. It conveys the horror of a concentration camp while not becoming sooo depressing. I recommend it!

I tried to see the movie once, but I think I was too tired, because almost fell asleep, and I was really disappointed (with myself) because people had told me it was amazing. I watched the first 45 minutes or so... I will try to watch it again some time!

I love Schindler's List .... I first saw it in History class last year when we were studying the Holocaust and it's incredibly sad. Liam Neeson is a wonderful actor and he shined in his role as Oskar Schindler.

Well, the movie is quite long, aye? And it has the symbolism with black/white and only a few colors to contrast?

(Arrgh, stretchy page... is something wrong with your sig?)

Stretchy page. I don't know what's wrong. It was like this before I posted so .... I hope it's not me.

If it me, I apologize. o.O It doesn't happen in any other thread?

I LOVE Ralph Fienne's role as well. Chilling, he was so different in 1993 than he is now. Excellent, excellent actor.

I love the black-white symbolism. I honestly thought the movie was was made in 1940's if I didn't know Liam Neeson and Steven Spielberg made it. The girl in the little red coat was by far the most touching character of the entire film. We didn't know her nane, we never really hear her speak, and we only see her for a minimum of 30 seconds throughout the whole film but she symbolized so much that it just blows my mind.

Oh I'm so glad there's a thread about this movie. I really like it. I first watched in my RE class and it just hit me.
