Anyone else seen this movie? I saw it about last year, it was a good movie.

"The Gladiator"? Is that a different movie from "Gladiator" with Russell Crowe?

and it is just Gladiator... I reaally havent seen the movie for like 2 years now. Buut..I saw about the last 40 mins of it on TV Sat. night. and Im hoping to buy it on DVD soon..once, I have a chance to go back to Wal-mart..

This is far and away my favorite movie. Well, LotR's pretty close, but I like Gladiator better.

Lol, the first time I saw it, I wa verrry confused. I knew what a Gladiator was, but I didnt know why Commodus didnt like Maximus, because, I didnt know that Marcus wanted Maximus to be Emperor.

and I didnt even know that the match between Commodus and Maximus at the end was a match to be Emperor. but now I know what the whole movie is about.

I read that Maximus' charatcer was based off of 5 gladiator's? I think it was. but I just remember one of them was Spartacus.

I wasn't very confused the first time I watched it--my parents wouldn't let me watch it at first after they got it, because of the rating, but since my room is with hearing-range of the TV, I listened to the movie quite a few times before I actually saw anything. I was probably one of the biggest fans of a movie I'd never seen of anyone on the globe. I listened to the soundtrack every night (it still puts me to sleep ), and I had it practically memorized.

I didn't know that Maximus' character was based off of 5 gladiators. I knew that it was based partially off of Spartacus, but I didn't know how many it was, overall.
