anyone else love these programmes? they're slight obsessions in my family - we have to plan our saturday nights round them, we'll spend ages working out who came where in the public vote, and we're constantly shouting at the tv when the judges are being ridiculous.

who do people want to win this year? i was supporting emma and darren, so i was gutted when they went out on saturday. i'm supporting mark and karen now though cuz he's the best out of the two that are left, and karen is so sweet - you can really see how passionate she is about dancing.

i would so get famous just so i could do this show. but only if they let me dance with darren! lol

i've finally found a fan!

yeah, i'm gutted it's over - saturday feel so empty  like i said, i'd been supporting emma and darren, but i didn't mind mark and karen winning because i love karen - i've never seen anyon dance with as much joy as she does. it's really beautiful to watch.

i've spent far too much time on youtube watching clips from previous series. found a load of jill and darren's dances - man, they were awesome!

I haven't seen Strictly Come Dancing, but I have seen Dancing with the Stars (the American version), and I absolutely love it :-D It's so much fun to watch the couples steadily get better each week (usually, anyway :P some of them get worse) until they're almost as good as the pros.

Both shows have the same judges, right? Len, Carrie Ann, and Bruno?

we have a slightly different judging panel here - we have len and bruno too, but we also have arlene phillips and craig revel-horwood.

it is amazing how good the celebrities get. sometomes you really wouldn't be able to guess who was the celebritiy and who was the professional. the best couple so far have ben jill halfpenny (actress) and darren bennett (pro dancer), who won series 2. she was so good she got offered the part of roxy in chicago off the back of the competition.

if you're interested, these are their best two dances:-
the jive http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVxxG2AVOCQ
the paso doble http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9YW60SHGqs
