Just saw the trailer for it and it really looks interesting. It takes place in the U.K. where every single women in the world can't have babies anymore and the world is slipping into chaos. Britain remains the only nation in power (why is Britain always the one left standing?) but there are frequent battles between the police and various terrorist groups. Anyways, there is a guy that gets kidnapped by his ex-wife, who became leader of a terrorist group, to help transport a pregnant women to an island off the sea. It's got Clive Owen, Juillanne Moore, and Michael Caine so it should be good. Anyone heard of this?

I looked up the trailer after I read this, because the story sounded really interesting :) The movie looks really good, different from any other :) I think I'll rent it, if that's already possible.

I just saw it today. It is AMAZING. I loved it...it's really freaky, because it's so realistic. Lots of violence, lots of deaths, it's just crazy.

Go see it!

I saw it WAAY back when it first came out. It is, hands down, the BEST movie of 2006. I cannot say ANYTHING bad about it. Clive Owen was FANTASTIC, as was Michael Caine.

Beri, what was your impression of the ending, is it positive or negative? Due to the nature of the "sounds" heard, I think it is positive.

I thought I was going to cry when _____ picked up the suicide drug and that amazing cover of Ruby Tuesday (Which gives me chills whenever I listen to it) was playing... Actually, all of the music was great.

I personally think that the huge amount of uncensored violence is what gave the movie credibility. At the beginning when the woman walked out of the cafe holding her severed arm... It was just "Woah."

Then when Theo and Kee were walking out of the building and everyone stopped fighting... it was amazing.

And the woman with the dog was hilarious (When she attacked what's-his-face).

I've seen the trailer a couple of times now, and I can't make up my mind whether to see it or not... The plot sounds sort of... Huh... Do you think it's believable? Actually, I'm okay with it if it isn't, I heard it should be sort of a critique of modern society as well and that sounds inteersting!

See it. Overall, I found it very believable. You never learn why everyone is infertile, just like you never learn why Kee isn't, which a lot of critics don't like. I did. The condition of the world is also realistic, as they really looked to our past to predict our future. Besides the infertility problem, Britain, to survive in the chaos, has become a totalitarian state. It is full of terrorists, and illegal immigration is solved, uh, harshly (It looks like something out of a Holocaust film).

Uh, yeah. I don't know if that helped. :hammer:

Which would you be? It really depends on how you look at it. The guy who's getting hit looks like the crazier one, but my opinion is that the one with the hammer is more insane. Therefore you are the one being hit (Whoops... heh). :P

That smiley just changed completely...

At the very least see it on DVD. The thing is, there are a few scenes that are too huge to be given justice on a small TV/computer screen.

^Interesting.. since technically you don't know anything about my sanity... [insert mad laugh].

Yes, waiting for the DVD is also an option... would you still be around to discuss the movie with me if I didn't get to see it until the dvd came out?

Well, for now I'm waiting for more people to post their opinions on the movie. I'm getting curious...

I want to see it again so badly...
