Post subject:  The Jane Austen Season
I'm honestly not sure if this has been posted up yet, but ITV is doing a new project called the Jane Austen Season, I'm not sure whether it will be out in America, but two of them have aired already, the other is this sunday. The Three adaptions are Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park && Persuasion.

Aw you don't? :( I think it's coming out on DVD soon, I'm not sure, but I Northanger Abbey might already be out.

Yeah, I've heard about that. I think they have already shown two of them, but I haven't been watching them as I'm not too happy they have been updated for the "21st century audience". Having sex scenes in a programme that is an adapation of a Jane Austen book puts me right off I'm afraid.

If they wanted material for the 21st century audience, they should have created their own and not changed a beloved author's book.

i watched mansfield park and man was it dull. plus, the guy's sudden oh-wait-it's-fanny-i'm-really-in-love-with realisation was so ridiculously and pathetically done that it had me and my sister in stitches for ages. but then, it's always unwise to expect too much from itv.

Hmm...not sure if you will like these. Adult and un-Austen like content and all that. :wary:

Ahhhh! How exciting! WHY don't I have that channel. Why don't I live in England?!
And why has my computer decided not to let the sound work, so I could watch the trailers without scratching sounds the whole way through?!
