I couldn't find a thread for this yet...

Is anyone else interested in the Inkheart movie? I saw the trailer in front of National Treasure 2, and so I borrowed the book from my sister and am now reading it. I actually think it could be a good movie.

So... is anyone else looking forward to it?

It looks brilliant----especially with Andy Serkis. I asked my friends who read the book though and said it was kind of a disappointment so I haven't decided on it. If it gets good enough reviews from friends, etc, I shall certainly consider going to see it.

I haven't actually read the book, but I saw a trailer for it when I watched The Golden Compass whilst on holiday in the US. It doesn't look half bad. When I saw Andy Serkis I couldn't help giving a fangirl-ish squeal. :P

Ugh. I hated the book. So I'm rather undecided if I'm going to go see it.

I know there's already a thread for this somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Anyway, yes, I'm actually pretty excited for this movie. I liked the books reasonably well, and Andy Serkis pretty much rocks (as do all fantasy movies) so...yeah. Definitely seeing this one.

Yeah, I think I created a thread about this a while back... but can't find it now. :P

I'm very excited, and have high hopes for this film. When I first saw the cast I was a bit saddened that Inkfinger wasn't a redhead (after all, I did love the redhead bit, being one myself), and some of the others gave me worries, but since I've checked into them a bit more, I think they will do very nicely. :D

Oh yes, and I did like the books pretty well (although, I think she always rushes the ending a bit too much.)

Although, all things considered, I think I'm in a lot of danger of liking the movie better than the book. *coughblameAndySerkiscough*

He's going to be a great Capricorn. Ducktape... lol...

Ooh, I saw a trailer for this when I saw the Golden Compass. I like the look it if, it just looks like a good film.

If it's anything like the Mummy or National Treasure then I'm sure I'll like it. Brendan Frasier is good in these types of films and Andy Serkis as a villain is pure love. :D

Oh, I saw the trailer for this when my brother and I went to see National Treasure: Book of Secrets! I've never read the book, but from the trailer it looks like it has an interesting plotline... and I couldn't help but get a little more "squeeish" when I saw Andy Serkis is in it. ;) Once it gets closer to the release I'll have to do more "homework" on it and see what it's like... maybe I'll at least have to see it when it's on dvd, if not sooner. :P

My brother and I plan to see it in theaters. He's a fan and I liked the books well enough. I wouldn't say the movie looks AMAZING, but I'm really easy to please so I'll probably like it.

Then again...I said that about Eragon...no, I kid, this definitely looks better than Eragon. Andy Serkis AUTOMATICALLY makes it better.

I'm totally excited for this movie! :bounce: I've read the book several times and I just love the idea of characters coming out of the pages...I can't wait to see it on the big screen! :D Although I'm a little concerned it might end up being like Eragon...but the author of the book, Cornelia Funke, is actually on the set while they're filming, and she likes it. So I'm not terribly worried. Though I'm not sure what they'll do about the people suddenly appearing...

Melda, I agree with you. Andy automatically makes it better. :P

The book was brilliant and the movie is going to be great too.

I'm definitely going to see it. :)

I really didn't like the book (I personally believe Ms. Funke ruins her endings... I've read most of her books and loathe the ending of every single one).

The movie doesn't look half-bad, though... however it may be the mention of duct tape that's calling to me.

i loved the books but i'm kinda fickle about seeing the movie. i love Andy and Brendan.... but i dont know if i like the girl the chose for Meggie and Dustfinger is supposed to be red and dark! *Pouts* I get hung up on this kind of thing when the movie is being made... but i'll prolly like it.

lets hope it's alot better than Eregon... tho it wasnt as bad as everyone said... to me anyways... =]]
