A thread for all fans of the Stargate series. Is anyone else loving the new seasons of SG-1 and Atlantis? *Stares at Asgard wallpaper.* (Stupid Jack! Stupid Stupid Stupid! Why'd you have to quit?)

YAY! Another Stargate fan! lol. I'm happy! I voted for SG-1, cause I haven't seen Atlantis. I don't get cable (shocking, I know) and the station I watch doesn't have it. It also is a season behind sci-fi in SG-1, so I haven't seen season 8! It should be starting pretty soon, though. But why does Jack quit? Who's going to say all those witty, funny remarks?

He doesnt exactly quit, he just leaves SG-1 and Stargate Command, you still see him occasionally. The actor left so he could spend more time with his kid(OOOH I envy him!)

I know, it's shocking that I don't get cable! lol. That's neat that Rick left for a good reason. Just curious, what did you think of season 8? Cause I've heard people saying it's worse than the others, and was soap-opera-ish and stuff. I'm just wondering.

I'm guessing that's how I'll feel about it too. lol. Stargate's my fave tv show! I'll have to remember to check the tv tonight. The reruns should be almost over, and season 8 almost here! Yay! lol

I voted SG-1. I chose SG-1 purely on the basis that Atlantis has only had one series, so it's yet to hit it's stride. But I do like both shows a lot.

I went agaist the current and voted Atlantis. It has a fresher feel. It's true, SG-1 is where it all began, but I really can't say no to Bekkit's accent. Or Ronan. Or Sheppard. Is it just me, or does he have really pointy ears? I mean, really pointy. Almost elf pointy?
It was a hard decision. But I am very happy for season nine. It was, and will be wonderful.

SG-1 is teh awesomeness. 8)

BUT I don't like the newest season, because Jack O'Neill isn't a part of the team anymore! *cries* He was the heart of it, really.

I like Atlantis as well... and I think of the new stuff, Atlantis is way better- it has a much better story, I think. I almost would have liked SG-1 to end at the last season. The whole "bigger and better enemy" that are the Ori seems like they set themselves up to repeat the material of the previous *8 years*. Hello.

I have to admit I didn't like the new season so much that I stopped watching it after the first 4 or 5 shows... *looks sheepish* ...so I don't know if it got any better.

But I love all the rest of Stargate, from the beginning in the movie through the TV shows up to season 8... I'm slowly working on acquiring the whole dvd collection, together with my brother and dad. Yay!
