My list is restricted to animated films as I can't really think of any live-action films at the moment:
Watership Down
An American Tail
Land Before Time
All Dogs Go To Heaven
Finding Nemo
And ANY classically animated Disney film!

Milo and Otis! Word, I remember watching that movie as a three year old. I always loved the scene with the bear and the chest of drawers.
Hm, another one would be Animal's Are Beautiful People which is more like a documentary... but never fails to make me laugh. the commentary is just epic humor.

Oh, I forgot about two on JF's list. National Velvet [excellent, excellent heart-warming movie... even if the book is better. ] and King Kong [PJ's 2005 version of course... one of the most beautiful remakes in the world.]
And that causes me to remember a third movie, Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, which is more of a love story than an animal movie, but I love it nonetheless.
Has anyone seen Eight Below? I heard it was good... want to see it.

Beethoven! The second opus mostly... (I love when they run back home between classes to feed the puppies! )
I was 8 when it came out and every time I was sick, I had to stay in bed, my mom used to put the tape on (not dvd back then remember! ) and that was the best sicknesses I ever had!
Then I would say Finding Nemo and the Babar serie: I don't know if anyone knows Babar, king of the elephaunts, but that definitely little frenchies' best friend!

Oooh, I used to love animal movies. I was so the kid that only watched Animal Planet up until 5th grade or something. xD
Anyway...
Milo and Otis
Benji
Napolean
Land Before Time [They're totally animals.]
Those are the only ones I can remember, but I really loved kitties and puppies. I think I sort of wanted to be one.

For me it's definitely Lion King, nothing can beat the Lion King, I'm sorry, but no.
