Definite guilty pleasure. I thought this show looked ridiculous from the ads, but I have a thing for vampires so I had to see what it was all about.

And it's not bad at all. Damon is my favorite: he's evil, sexy and hilarious. Though I have to admit Stephan is pretty cute and not too annoying for the good vampire role.

I'm surprised at how fast it moves along, and probably would not be watching it otherwise. Already 2 characters have been turned into vampires & then killed for good. Did not see that one coming.

Ya know I still haven't plucked up the courage to watch it. I'm very unsure about it, even though I love Ian Somerhalder.

Honestly, Ian Somerhalder makes the show.

I recommend checking it out. Though I still haven't seen the first couple of episodes, so I can't vouch for them.

i have to say, the show is better than the books. the books got really silly in the middle of the second one! ian somerhalder as damon is just the sexiest thing on the planet!

last weeks was so exciting!

also, i'd just like to say, i'd rather elena was with damon than stefen.
the episode where elene and damon dance just proves they should be together! the chemistry is so good!

No, I'm not AT ALL a rabid Delena fan. *scoffs* Why would you ever think that? It's not like I started watching the show because I saw a music video with their characters that caused me to swoon or anything like that.

I agree, Ian Somerhalder is pretty much the most beautiful man I've ever seen in my life. Damon is everything I've ever loved in a character: redeemable, passionate, daring, tender, scary, loyal...come on, now. He's perfect except for his tendecy to murder people and drink their blood.

It's realy great. It's dark and completely non-Twilight, but not as intense as True Blood. And the MEN. You'll be sure to find someone you love because there's not one unattractive male lead character. My favorites are Damon, Jeremy, and Tyler.

Alaric is everyone's favorite teacher slash Vampire hunter. AND in the next episode, he's totally going to be naked (but still decent, in the TV sense). I don't know why, but all I know is that he's in the kitchen with a fully clothed Jenna...and Elena walks in. Alaric then says, "Well, I'm naked" and offered Elena some Junky Monkey that's in a bowl (whatever that is!). Needless to say, I'm looking forward to seeing this scene in context.

I really love the dynamic between Alaric and Damon. There's definetly some grudging respect and underlying tones of bromance.

Damon and Alaric are just flat out awesome. At first I was worried about Damon getting all violent on him, which he did, but that didn't work too well. I'm really glad to see that they're on good terms and going on all these adventures together.

*is in Caroline/Tyler shipping boat, too* I can't believe I didn't see this coming. They're so perfect for each other now that they're both supernatural beings. Caroline's matured so much, and Tyler has lost all of that obnoxious cockiness.

So I watched a few season 2 episodes, and I gotta agree with you there that DAMON MAKES THE SHOW. Holy frick that man is beautiful. I might have to keep watching just to see Delena happen.

Otherwise, I wasn't impressed at first but now I'm sold. Solid storyline, decent dialogue, likeable heroine. The acting's mediocre, and the story itself seems overly romanticized, but if it's bad at least it's awesomely bad.
