Just wondering if anyone has seen the movie? I've been dying to see it. It looks so good! |

See the original Swedish version instead! At least before you see the remake. There is no Lisbeth Salander but Noomi Rapace. |

Completely Agree with Erulisse! I didn't think much to the Book, but the Swedish original is fab! watch it with subtitles rather than dubbing though! |

^ Yes absolutely. Dubbing should be outlawed! |

Having seen the American version before the Swedish version, I can say while I did enjoy both movies, I liked the American version more. Rooney Mara's Lisbeth Salander was more intimidating and unpredictable than Noomi Rapace's. At least to me. And while I haven't read the book, from what I understand, the American version had more details that were omitted in the Swedish version. Plus the opening credits sequence for the American version was just awesome and worth the six fifty pounds I spent to see it in theatres. |

Old subject, reviving. I actually enjoy the American version more, except the part about them speaking in a weird accent. It's really awkward how they're all "yep, this is how they speak in Sweden". No, it's not. We speak Swedish, thanks. I just feel like it was unnecessary for them to keep the accent when obviously they changed the mother tongue anyway. Having said that, when Mikael steps off the station in Hedestad they're filming in my hometown. And that's pretty cool since nothing EVER happens there. EVER. |
