After reading in a magazine that "the Borgias" would be a nice successor to Showtime's "the Tudors", I decided to give it a try. I love costume drama's anyway, and the thought of Jeremy Irons as corrupt Pope at the start of the 16th century sounded quite interesting.

Last week I finished the last episode of the second season, and I am very much looking forward to the next season! The costumes looked great, the characters were quite believable and the time setting is also very interesting (the various city-regions of Italy at their height, what's not to love?)

Has anyone else watched this? What did you think of it? :)

I have one question. A lot of sex? :P

Good question  But I think it depends on what you would classify as a lot. Yes, there are some sex scenes, but not as much as in the Tudors and certainly not as much as in Game of Thrones, if that is any consolation.
And even during the sex scenes, all you see is a nude man's backside and women in more or less see-through tops.

Ahh, if I can stand sex in Game of Thrones, I will take a shot for that show.
