Greetings, Downton fans! Season 3 has ended (with a disappointment for many), but that doesn't mean that we can't make wild speculations about what will happen next! Will Thomas and O'Brien still be at each other's throats in season 4? Have we seen the last of Jimmy? What about this cousin Rose who will apparently be coming to live at Downton? And Lady Mary already has a new love interest?!? Discuss away - nothing is too "out there" considering what we've seen in season 3.

There's only one thing I want to happen in series 4: give Edith a happy ending! Come on, she deserves one! Bertha Rochester should have a peaceful, natural death (so her husband can't be blamed for it) and then, after a suitable period of mourning, Edith can marry the editor. It won't happen though. |

Hravan, I definitely agree. Edith's become much nicer since the first season; she deserves some happiness. I just don't understand why the writers didn't let her marry that one guy (whose name I've already forgotten - oops!  ) and got her mixed up in this new drama instead. I guess it does allow her to grow more as a character by putting herself out there

Edith marries Julian Ovenden pleaaaaaaase  At least that's what I'd love to see. I know I said I wasn't planning on watching the season, but you know what they say about train wrecks.... |

Well we know that Lady Mary will have a new love interest and I also know that the actress playing O'Brien is leaving.... maybe someone finally snitched on the whole baby/soap incident and she leaves in disgrace or something? If Edith doesn't get some kind of happy ending - I personally like the paper editor man - then I'm going to scale a large building in London and unfurl a banner reading "GIVE EDITH SOME HAPPINESS YOU MISERABLE !@%$!@". |

O'Brien is leaving??? I hadn't heard about that! It would be a good twist to have the soap incident come out. Cora's always thought better of O'Brien than she deserves, and she's in the dark about her nastier side. They were sort of hinting at it at the end of last season with Bates and Thomas 'threatening' O'Brien with the soap incident... "her ladyship's soap."  Does anyone know if Shirley MacLaine is signed on for season 4? I thought that she did well, but didn't really add much to the plot. |

I thought O'Brien was going to try to get the other woman's job in that family in Scotland and go wherever it is aboard that they're going... |
