The movie was okay, but it was a little dissipointing for someone who really loved the books...

Oh yes, the books were in every way superior. Although I did enjoy the film for what it was. I felt they could have made it better by leaving out the 'serious' bits. The movie made too much sense, if you get my meaning. They did a good job with Marvin, I think.

The film was good, the TV series was better, the books were better still, but the radio series was the best of all.

The film was still ok though. Didn't like the Arthur/Trillan romance though. I loved that gun thing though, when Marvin fired it at the end and all the vogons became depressed :-D

Yeah, the Depressed Vogons thing was awesome :laugh:
The books are better, of course but the movie was a good laugh for an hour or two. Marvin - my preciousss :D

Maybe it's because I've only seen the movie and only read the first half of the book, but I seriously enjoyed the movie! I found it very entertaining. But so far in the book, I find that better than the movie. Kinda creepy imagining Zaphod with two heads 24 hours a day though.
