My dad and I were at the Family Video on Friday, looking for a video to rent. He came across the Dukes of Hazzard (ugghhh...Jessica Simpson...) and this somehow compelled him to go find Smokey & the Bandit, a movie he LOVED as a kid. His girlfriend, Jean, told me how bad it was.

I can't say it was the best movie I've seen.

Let's just say it was...mind-numbing.


Have you seen this movie? What did you think about it?

If you're not sure, it's about a truck driver, Snowman, and his friend the Bandit, and they've got a bet running with two people: $80,000 dollars if they can get 400 cases of beer (yes, beer) from Texarcana to some place in...ummm...Georgia, I think...in 28 hours. And they run into a lot of trouble, yada yada yada. End of story.

I loved the first Smokey and the Bandit movie.
Cheesy comedy.

Sequels pretty much sucked.

I've seen the edited version where they edited all the cursing out. I absolutely loved it!

^ ugh I cannot stand censored versions or edited versions.. I mean the movies, TV shows or songs are what they are ya know, take it or leave it (in my opinion). We don't have censorship here in media whatsoever, so maybe that's why I don't understand the point of editing a movie, a song or censoring a TV show.
