I just saw this ad in a magazine and thought it'd be cool to post it, ya'll probably hav seen it but I have no idea what it's about. It's a new DVD with LotR interviews, deleted scenes, etc. and narrated by Dom Monaghan. If anyone knows any details, I'd be glad to know!! Particularly about the deleted scenes..., are we talking new deleted scenes not in the extended versions??

This is a documentary not just about the movies, but about the books, the fans throughout the years, how the fandom has progressed, music, and like.... everything. It is supposed to be really good. But the deleted scenes won't be from the movies, they'll be deleted from the documentary.
Here,
"The film is full of a wealth of knowledge to satisfy the most hard core fan giving newer fans a comprehensive and detailed history of the first stirrings of Tolkien mania. From the first publication back in 1954, along the 60's where it blossomed into the gospel, through the 70's and 80's where Tolkien works had been absorbed into the musical industry, then into the 90's and today where Peter Jackson's trilogy birthed new fans and gave old fans something we had always wanted - the perfect movie to compliment one of the most revered book series of all time. There is no doubt Tolkien's works have influenced our culture. The film discusses in detail just how our culture was shaped with whimsical reenactments and even cutout animations (which I could've done without, though they have their charms).
The film is plain fantastic. A complete Tolkien 101 with amazing extras like a most hilarious Leonard Nimoy "Ballad of Bilbo Baggins" video (quite a shock to see that one I must say), the history of the 'Hobbiton USA' - a most adorable creation residing in the little town of Phillipsville California (about 200 miles north of San Francisco) , and of course the fan tidbits. Seeing the fans gathered, the costumes and the confessionals really opens ones eye to the magnitude of what a good story can bring together. And yes, there are interviews, all kinds of star interviews from the film like Peter Jackson, Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Viggo Mortensen and unexpected interviews from Clive Barker, Lemmy Kilmister (Motorhead), David Carradine and many more."

Haven't heard of that one, but I've heard a rumor that PJ was going to make like an ultimate edition with bloopers, deleted scenes, and more.

I've been waiting for it to come out since they announced they were making it...done by TORn, by the way. I'm excited. I know it's PG-13, which means there'll be some less that desirable stuff in it, but I hope the good outweighs the bad. I mean, a movie all about people like us? Nuts. It's just brilliant.

Kudos to Kitoky for the fabulous signature set, and art credit to engelszorn.
