Yay for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! I REALLY enjoyed it! It was SUCH a fun movie! I mean, I was a little disappointed when there was really nothing on the Quidditch World Cup - like the first 10 minutes went by like BOOM BOOM BOOM - but it was good anyhow. I liked how much they kept in from the book. I think that they were pretty faithful - and believe me it's tough for me to say that because this is my favourite book in the series. I have to say the 1st task pretty much rocked - and then from there to the Yule Ball, I was laughing hysterically the ENTIRE time (choking on my popcorn most of the time). But I have to say this, half the reason this book is my favourite is the end - Cedric's death/Voldemort's rebirth. And I think this new director got it down. Needless to say, I really enjoyed myself.
Oh, and just a quick question: Why didn't they have Sirius' head in the flames, not the coals? And I really missed Sirius in the end. . . but oh well.

I wish the Quddith World Cup was longer too. I wish the maze scene was longer. I thought the first and second task were great! The bath scene..Moaning Myrtle was well you know... Cedric Diggory was way awesome! The end was so sad. As I said before I cried a lot.

Oh my god I thought it was such an amazing film!!! I wish, like the others, that the Quidditch was longer, but like every book that is made into a movie, they have to cut things out, and they can't please everyone. I was amazed by the tasks, and Cedric's death/Priori Incantatem--although again, I think that should've been longer! The way that he came back and people's reactions were amazingly captured--it made me cry too! It's a brilliant film, it won't disappoint many Harry Potter fans... :D

I think it was the best HP movie yet! It was simply amazing from the beginning til the end! Personally I didn't miss the lack of John Williams (like I thought I was going to) and thought Patrick Doyle composed a superb score, which I very much enjoyed. The whole movie was shot so beautifully, amazing camera work and cinematography and the new director really captured a new kind of magic that the previous three films lacked.
Ron was hilarious as always, and I'm kind of crushing on the Weasley brothers Love guys with long hair, hehe.
The Riddle House scene was incredible, especially Voldemort whom I was very pleased with. The Yule Ball was magnificent, when the camera revealed the hall with all its decorations I went I want my house to be decorated like that!!! lol
Simply amazing film. Can't wait to see it again

Well, I saw it today, my parents pretty much had to drag me into the theatre... I never really liked the books(I didn't read any past 4) or the movies, but this one may have converted me. It was great, definitely the best one. The special effects were top-notch. I think I may actually give the newer books a chance now!

Yeah, the World Cup was too short, but the Yule Ball part was great!

Yes! Read them!
No I haven't seen the movie, but I couldn't resist coming here. Most of the movie had already been spoiled for me anyway
I'm happy to see so many positive reviews; I'm dissapointed about the Quidditch World Cup being so short

I watched the film on friday. I thought it was so brilliant! It was funny at the begining and somehow everything was cut short, but it spread out at the end and got more serious. I was in the cinema and we were just watching the bit with the bath and moaning Mrytle and the film broke! We had to wait like 20 minutes before the film started again...! What did you think of Voldemort?

Yeah The Priori Incantatem scene should have been longer! When Cedric died I cried and also when Harry's parents appeared.Another scenes that were sad was Hermione and Ron fight at the Yule ball.Emma did such an amazing work in that scene. Also Dumbledore's speech at the end.
Bubble Black, I thought that Voldemort was freaky and awesome.I thought it looked great!
I saw the movie again and it gets better!!I think it's the best HP movie so far.

^Call me Bubs !
I thought the way Voldemort kind of transformed was really well done. One thing I did think that his nose was a little human-like though! I loved the film. I nearly cried at the end when Cedric died and his father was shouting.

I really didn't mind the Quidditch Cup being cut short. While it is a fun part of the book, the game itself isn't all that important to the rest of the story... and I'm glad that they actually decided to focus on the important parts rather than just the fun parts. And they made the important parts fun (and scary).
Although I liked some parts of the last 3 movies, I was disappointed with all of them. Not so with this one. Yes, they cut and changed some things, but most of the things they changed were just for time's sake.
This one was much more mature than the other three as well... the other ones were kind of funny, but that was mostly just because you were remembering that happening in the book, rather than it being genuinely funny. This one was hilarious, in my opinion. Even if I hadn't read the books, I still would have thought it was funny.
The only thing that really really irked me was after Harry's name came out of the Goblet, Harry goes into the other room, followed by Dumbledore & Co. and Dumbledore kind of loses it and is shaking Harry. What was that? That was entirely un-Dumbledore-like. That's probably my biggest complaint of the entire movie, which is saying something. I'm kind of a Potter Purist.

Barty Crouch, Jr. was freaky.......i mean he was okay in the beginning and in the Quidditch World Cup, but you saw him during the trial. the way he looked so demented...*shudders* i liked the dragon scene, that was awesome. voldemort looked awesome at the graveyard. by the way, nice graveyard. skulls everywhere, eerie...... but i though it was pretty good, seeing that they cut out the monsters from the maze. that would have been better than the maze re-arranging itself. i missed john williams for the score, but i thought it was a pretty good job

WOOt! I can post in this thread now because I have finally seen GoF!!
I have to say that GoF is the best HP movie yet!! The story felt a tad rushed, and a lot from the book had to be cut out but over all it was very good!
1. Krum- Personaly I thought they cast Victor Krum a little old, he looked like he was 25 instead of 17 or 18.
2. Madame Maxime- Definantly not how I pictured her, she just seemed to... I dunno, old maybe...
3. Mad-Eye Moody- His eye was a tad creepy... lol
4. Matthew Lewis [Neville Longbottom]- I think his acting has improved emensly since the first movie, which is good since it seems like he gets larger and larger parts as the movie's go on.
5. Emma Watson [Hermione Granger]- Her acting has also improved! She is definantly one of my role models!
6.Yule Ball- Perfect! Absolutely splendid! It reminded me of the formal dances we have at our school. The typical slow dancing, turns to partying, and then after everyones left you have the groups of girls huddled around there crying girl friend whose just been dumped. I think that was very realistic.
7.Dancing lessons- Didn't contribute much to the story line, but twas very humourous to watch! Rupert [Ron] is hilarious!!
8. The Maze- I think the maze scenes were a little too short in opinion. I was disappointed that they left out the sphinx, and the many other creatures of the maze. I didn't quite understand what the wind stuff was supposed to do, but what can I say, they were on a budget. What was up with Krum? I didn't quite get that either...
9. Cho Chang- Perfect!
10. Cedric- Awwwww! He was so cute!! I starting bawling when he died, and several people gasped in the audience. It was so sad, and he was so innocent! *sigh*
11. Voldemort's return- Exactly how I imagined it, I thought it was done extremly well!
12. Death Eaters- For some reason they reminded me of those in the Ku Klux Klan with the tall white pointy hats, going around and burning stuff. *shivers* That was a little creepy...
13. S.P.E.W. and Winky- Wha..? I was so mad that they did not include this. I would have very much liked to see Winky! Ah well, the budget again... or maybe the time...
14. Daniel Radcliffe's [Harry Potter] crying- All I can say is he really needs to work on it. Why can't he learn to "silent cry" ya know, with the tears streaming down the cheeks and all that. Not that I'm much better at it... I was sniffling so loud the people in China probably heard me.
15. "Everything's going to change now isn't it?"- What a beautiful, simple ending. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I hope they decide to make the 5th movie!!I don't know how they'll do it, but if it has to be 3 hours long, heck! I'll sit through it!!

There was a lot that was left out, but I enjoyed how much they did stick to the book!
Anyways! I Loved it! It was great! The Quidditch World Cup Tent scenes were excellent! I loved that part....
I agree about the Victor Krum he did look a little old...and the whole eyes possessed thing..?
Awww poor Cedric! I knew it was coming, but...Oh well...It was cute there was a ton of little kids at the cinema and they all started crying....
*sigh* I loved it...
