...YES!

Pirates and I decided that we wanted to have a star wars marathon, that is watch all 6 of them in one day!, on new years eve. And so we did.

13 hrs and 7 minutes of star wars.

Actually, it was quite fun. : )

What we learned:
Anakin pouts (or whines) a total of 25 times throughout the entire series. (I-VI) Grant it, majority of it was in episode II though. lol.
Padme only pouts 4 times.
But Luke pouts a total of 17 times in his trilogy!

Thought that was interesting. lol.

Happy new years everyone!

Hmm, in my opinion basically any time Anakin doesn't smile it looks like he's pouting, but I'm no Ani fan :p My family did a less-crazy marathon and watched the five-hour Pride & Prejudice mini-series - quite fun, if very civilized.

Well, I agree, but we only counted his major pouty scenes, and there were some scenes that had about 6 pouts rolled into one rant, so we counted it was one. The biggest pouty scene ever, though, is in Episode II when Anakin and Padme are in her appartment preparing to leave and he starts ranting about how unfair Obi-Wan is. ("He's jealous! He's holding me back! It's not fair!") *sigh* Ani never learns, does he?

My brother has the boxset of the old trilogy, before it was edited
Then he has them all in a normal version
And then he has the old trilogy with some extra new editing! (For example: in episode 6, when the ghosts of Kenobi and Yoda appear at the end, the ghosts of Anakin appears, and he looks like what he looked like before he got scorched  )

That sounds so fun! I have yet to watch them all one after the other. I was just watching the Episode III extra features last night--so, so incredibly amazing.

Yay for Star Wars marathons! Yay! Larien and I did it in November I believe. What a day. (We started out kind of late...so, that was a struggle). Sida was supposed to join us, but she was at work most of the day. But when we rented the movies, I looked like a freak walking up to the front desk with all these Star Wars movies and this HUGE evil grin across my face. Larien was having hysterics over my antics (as usual). But the end of Episode III, we were SO emotionally drained, I don't know how we finished the last 3. It was really funny because up until half way through the 3rd movie we were making fun of things and laughing (yada yada yada) and then with Anakin's betrayl and all that we were silent for most of the rest of the night. But Larien came up with "Hello there. I'm here to seduce you with my bump" for Ewan when he meets General Grievous...and he says hello there. Oh, man. I guess you'd have to be there to understand it...ha ha ha. But, I'm glad you guys had fun! I plan on doing it again...yeah!

Oh. Yeah. You told me about the marathon in my new year's eve party idea thread. Did ya have fun with pirates? I've done a romance movie night marathon before--my friends and I went to see Pride & Prejudice, then came home and watched The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, Romeo & Juliet(one with leo in it.), and the phantom of the opera.

iono if that's 13 hours though...maybe close.

...

My sister and I are going to do that with the Lord of the Rings movies....

We'd have to borrow Episode I and II of Star Wars to hold a marathon of that, though.

I've been meaning to have one. Just haven't had the time. I mean seriously, it would take FOREVER. Maybe this summer. Or maybe in the next couple of weeks - before school. Hmmm.

But I seriously need to have another Star Wars marathon again. And the whole time I was trying to convince Larien that it IS a story about R2 D2 and C3PO . . . she doesn't believe me. But it IS!!! Ha ha ha. I remember hearing someone associated with it saying that it was. Ha ha ha.
