Anyone seen any good movies that nobody's heard of? I was talking to my friend the other day and it turns out we'd both seen Ferngully but nobody else had ever heard of it ever. And it's really good. So are there any others?

I've never heard about it, nor seen it.

I think probably most people haven't seen The Scarlet Pimpernel, even though Ian McKellan plays in that movie...though he's like young...20s or 30s...

I've heard of the Scarlet Pimpernel, but never actually seen it!

I think a lesser known film that I absolutely LOVE is Contact. It's got Jodie Foster and Matthew McCohnaghey in it, and it's brilliant!

Oh my goodness! I love Ferngully! It's so sad...why can't people wake up and see the destruction they are doing to this world?! :explode: :explode: Okay, enough of my ranting on political "stuff." I'd say another movie that no one's heard of is Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. Only a small group of my friends know what I'm talking about because they have to put up with it everyday. I can't think of any others off the top of my head...maybe in a little bit. *goes and has a think*

Um...one that not a lot of people have heard of but was pretty good is Simone. It's about a director who creates this computer-generated actress who starts getting loads of publicity because of her mysterious private "life".

Hmm...anybody ever hear of Left Behind? It's one of my favorite movies and books, but the movies aren't that popular.

What a brilliant thread. I really wanted to watch ferngully but I never have, sadly...

I've just got a movie called Little Voice with Ewan mcGregor (soooooo cute!!!!!!!) Have you seen it? Or heard of it? I loved it.

by the way, i haven't seen the movies some of you mentioned... But that Simone sounded interesting!

Oh one of my favourite movies of ALLLL time is Willow, and it even has short people in it! They're like hobbits, but of course they're not. And it has someone who's sorta like Aragorn, like he's a loner, but really strong and cunning. There's an evil queen who is trying to kill a baby...cuz if the baby grows up it will take her throne. It is an AMAZING movie, really sad though im warning you. It is in movie stores, rent it! If you like LOTR you'll like this. And ferngully was a wonderful movie. :bye2:

I am so excited that people have seen "Ferngully" and "Willow"! Definitely some of my faves when I was little...Let's see...*Thinks of another movie* Has anyone seen "Monsoon Wedding"? I know it is more well-known than others, but it is a fantastic film from India.

Just thought of another one, Rabbit Proof Fence. It's about the treatment of the aborigines in Australia, specifically the kids who are half white, half native. It was a really good movie, really sad though.

Huh, I don't know if Glory is one, cause I just saw it the other night. It could have been a popular movie that I just haven't really seen much, but it is a very good movie.
