It is a Nicolas Cage movie based on a man's life who gave his own for his girlfriend. He has a cool burning motorcycle and skull face and the chain on his hand. If you wanna learn more about the movie which will be released on 2007 check the link: http://www.comics2film.com/FanFrame.php?f_id=20783 And tell me what you think about it |

This is one of my fave non X-Men comics of all time. I love Ghost Rider. I've been waiting on this movie being released since before X3 came out lol but Mark Steven Johnson wanted to hold it off to wait till there was no other comic movies due out, plus it gave the effects team time to perfect the CGI. I've watched the teasers over and over (and screencapped them to death ![]() This looks to be one of the most faithful comic to movie adaptations yet. Nic Cage is made for the role of Johnny Blaze. This movie will seriously OWN you. *exhales* |

You can't realistically have a Ghost Rider movie as anything other than an R/18 rated movie. Just for the violence content alone. I truly think this will be the truest Marvel movie adaptation yet. I cannot wait. |

Oh, is the book very violent? I'm not sure they would risk having an 18 for a comic book adaptation as you'd be losing to many younger viewers. |

It's not designed for younger viewers. Ghost Rider is a very dark and twisted tale. It's going to appeal of fans of the comic and fans of horror movies. |

That may be true. But the way comic book films have become popular the past few years leads me to think they may wish to keep it PG-13 or 12A to compete with the others. |

You cannot make a Ghost Rider movie with those sorts of ratings. Just as you cant make Blade without it being an 18. They're horror comics, for a specific type of fan in mind. When dealing with the subject matter of GR you have to make it as dark and violent as you can. Otherwise it neutralises the character making the movie pointless. |

^Yeah, but I believe that with some people if it's a quesion of making more money or keeping it faithful to the original they lean towards to money aspect. They might not though. Is it just violence in the comics or are there other things? |

It's just violence and Sony believe it or not are making it as faithful to the comic as they can. They hired Ghost Rider fanboy Mark Steven Johnson to direct. They are taking a risk making it as faithful to the comic as possible. Ghost Rider like Blade isnt a well known Marvel comic like X-Men or Fantastic Four. By making it a PG-13 all that will do is alienate the true fans of the comic in order to make that quick buck at the box office. Personally as a fan of the Ghost Rider series', I'm glad it's been rated an 18. A PG-13 would be disapointing for me and tame the subject matter. |

Oh, it's def an 18 then? Darn. I don't think I'll get to see it then. Mind you I don't have any problem with violence really, just other things. *sigh* It looked good as well. |
