I've read the first book and couldn't get through the second book, I was in 6th grade, it didn't work out so good.

I love those books! It's so interesting to read about Merlin before he became the old wizard..

I havent read them, but I love anything about mythology, especially celtic ones, as I'm from Ireland. I think I might read that.

Those books are great! I haven't read the Great Tree yet, because my library doesn't have it, but I'll get there! What's it about??

It's about the wizard Merlin as a teen. He's living in Wales and has no memory of his past, but a mother he doesn't think is really his mother. All he knows is he came from across the sea, so one day he goes off to sea looking for his past. He finds the island of Fincayra and the books are about all the things he does there.

Also recomend the Great Tree of Avalon Series. It's about Avalon(once was part of Fincarya the setting for the Lost Years of Merlin) It what happens after Merlin goes to back to the main world. Very interesting, with lots of cool new characters!

These books are rather preachy and the writing style is annoying at times, but despite that I still really liked them for some reason. I even got some friends together to make a movie of it. (We didn't get very far... but we did a few scenes and a trailer.) And the 2nd book (seven songs or merlin) is the worst.

I've never heard of them, but I love all things Merlin, so I'll have to check them out sometime. Thanks for the suggestion!
