New Moon. Out of morbid curiosity, mostly. I will be reading Brisingr later this week, also out of morbid curiosity.

I'm reading Huck Finn for school (woohoo) [/sarcasm] and I will ALSO be reading Brisingr later in the week. But I think I need to reread Eldest, because I don't even remember what happened.

Yeah, agreed. One of my friends was talking to me about it, and I kept interjecting with "...who's that again?" Anyway, I'm not exactly reading out of a deep-seated love for the books, and my current life has minimal time for reading, so I may just hunt up a summary of Eldest and be content with that.

I'm re-reading Wicked. God, I love that book. I'm also working on Dante's Inferno.

lol, I'm supposed to start reading "The Grapes of Wrath", which I know nothing about, except that there was a Veggie Tales video based on it. I started singing that song the other day when my dad gave me the book. "We are the grapes of wrath, we never take a bath..."

I just started Angel's Kiss [Eldsmärket] by Liselott Willén.
I don't know the author nor anything about the book. I picked it first because of the title, then for the summary on the back promising a psychological novel... dun dun dun...

Reading Brisingr. It's a bit eh. Arya in particular is proving rather too MS for my liking, though I haven't minded Nasuada so far. I hadn't noticed this in his other books (I haven't read in quite a while so it's probably just me being unobservant) but Paolini's tendency to have his characters speak as though their words are being chiseled epically into stone tablets as they say them is wearing on me. I mean, come on. "I cannot help but wonder why your hand is dyed with gore." We couldn't have just said, "Why do you have blood on your hand?"

He also uses a somewhat ridiculous amount of flowery description that loses its appeal after a couple chapters. Actually, my favorite character in this one so far is Roran. At least he's halfway believable.

^Haha, I just finished reading that. And I found the whole thing melodramatic too. I noticed that he's started doing that more with Eragon as a character, too. Heck, even in Eldest Eragon didn't speak like that, then all of a sudden it's like BAMANNOYING.

Anyway, I'm just finishing up Huck Finn for school, and have to get Into the Wild. I don't even know what that book's about.

 @ the Brisingr comments. I'm reading it myself but I'm only on the sixth chapter at the moment.
