"Mansfield Park" by Jane Austen.
There was an introduction and their description of Fanny really bothered me, so I'm determined not to see what they saw. There was also some discussion in the introduction about where Ms. Austen's political beliefs fell. Oi. Speculation is so annoying.

^I liked Mansfield Park a lot. Can't say why, but I enjoyed it immensely. Other people think I'm strange. *Shrugs*
Now onto The Illustrated Man by Ray Bradbury. Some of them are...disturbing...

I'm reading The Secret Garden. Classic. One of my favourite books that I haven't read in a while.

^I always loved that book! When I was little it was in a boxed set with A Little Princess and Anne of Green Gables and I always remembered that one was my favorite of them.
Just started The Yearling...no idea what it's like, it's for Honors...

I'm really enjoying it. I'm a fan of Jane Austen, so I'm not sure why I wouldn't. XD What really bothers me though, is in this introduction, they talk of Miss Crawford as being what the heroine of the novel ought to be like - or she fits the mold and Fanny does not. I have yet to see how they figured that one out. Mary bothers me to no end!
I guess that's why Fanny is the heroine.
