The Children of Húrin - Oh, why must tragedies be so tragic... and why aren't stories about people who live happily ever after never as interesting as stories about people who happens to be cursed my Ultimate Evil Malice.

Mrs. Haldir wrote: The Wolves of Andover by Kathleen Kent Are you liking it? I read it as The Traitor's Wife but couldn't finish it. So now I'm reading My Lord John by Georgette Heyer.

Had my brithday a few days ago and I got some book store gift cards I had to spend. I'm currently in the middle of The Genesis of Shannara: Armageddon's Children by Terry Brooks. I highly recommend this author, he has about 5 different trilogies that are all linked together and they're all really good fantasy.
After that, I have ordered the box set of the Chronicles of Narnia, never got around to reading them. C.S. Lewis was a good friend of Tolkien's and they were in the Inklings together, so that attracted me to the series even more. The series has some competition however, as I also picked up Sir Gawain and the Green Knight by Tolkien, Game of Thrones (the show on HBO is based on it, the reviews basically said hit or miss, figured I'd give it a try), and I have the next two books in the History of Middle-earth series that I have to read. Not sure which I want to go with next.
And in November Inheritance by Christopher Paolini is finally coming out. Been anticipating it for over a yr -_- lol

Goodbye To All That by Robert Graves. Read two pages and fell asleep. Not the book's fault though, I'm actually looking forward to reading it. I was just tired.
